We have visited Darjeeling in the month of April 2021 and booked The Retreat. We had a wonderful stay the rooms are good. In this pandemic we where bit sceptical but on reaching the hotel all our luggage were sanitized. The staff are good . I has some stomach problem they provide me very light fish curry just like home. Having a cup of Dargeeling tea sitting on the open terrace is wonderful though this time we could not see the majestic Kangchenjunga.I must mention Mr Arijit the manager of the property is very nice and made us comfortable during the stay.I would appreciate that he arranged packed breakfast as we started form Darjeeling early. The car for pickup and drop was also very good and comfortable. I will definitely again visit and stay at The Retreat.

We went to visit Darjeeling and thanks to Help Tourism, we got a booking at this hotel. The room had an amazing view of the valley underneath. Staffs were well-behaved, manager was much responsive and active throughout our stay. The roof-top sitting place is apt for a date with darjeeling tea. Restaurant is good, breakfast buffet did not have plenty to offer but the foods were fresh. 'Roasted Chicken' is a must-try if you love continental cuisine. If you don't have a budget constraint and ready to walk a few steps from your parking, this is a great place to stay.

The hotel has a good position away from the mall (500m). The hotel also has great view especially room no 301 302 202. Birds will sing at he window at dawn. Good naturall feeling. The hospitality is also very good. Service was excellent. The quality of the food can be improved. The rooms and avg. There is a little problem with water but it's ok. Overall it's a nice hotel to stay in a hill station like Darjeeling.

I went with my friend to Darjeeling in January 21. We always wanted to stay at The Retreat but never got a chance as it was always sold out. This time may be due to pandemic situation we got super delux room facing the Kanchenjungha. You can see unobstructed view of Kanchenjungha from your bed. Beautiful sunrise can be seen from the room itself. The corner rooms which are executive rooms are the best. It has 2 sides open with a sitting area. They arrange for pick up and drop. The car will drop you near Governor house and from there its 2 minutes walk and staffs will carry your luggage They took all precautions required as per covid protocol. The manager and the staffs were courteous and help ful. The location of the hotel is best in Darjeeling as it is located at the Kanchenjungha view point on Hermitage Road where people gather to watch sunrise. The rooms have adequate space and well furnished with TV. Housekeeping is good. Bathroom is medium size and clean. They will give you room heater if asked for. Complimentary breakfast was a bit disappointing otherwise food served is good specially chicken roast is their signature dish. All over we had a great and pleasant stay for 2 days
