This is a review of only the restaurant 'Opal Inn' which is part of Hotel Ranjith. We have been visiting the restaurant frequently for dinner. We are vegetarians, hence the review relates only to the vegetarian dishes served at this restaurant. Food: Delicious, always. Every dish that we had tried here had been great. Portions are big. The restaurant staff... More

Recently went to Ranjith hotel to have dinner in The Pinnacle restaurant. Really shocked to see the reception's atmosphere. The reception & lobby area looks in a very bad condition. I used to visit few times before. But now it looks worser than before. They are renovating the guest rooms & lobby area for many years and still not even... More

When we visited the hotel itself was being gutted and little more than reception on the ground floor remained.... Construction workers and materials filled the foyer but the lift takes you upstairs to the top floor oasis that is the Pinnacle Rooftop Barbecue. It's open air and well laid out so younger a very welcome breeze blowing through as you... More

I had work in the US consulate and needed a decent hotel nearby for my overnight stay. I chose hotel Ranjith. But stay was really disappointing. Room was big enough , but very very old. A portion of the hotel is being renovated. Toilets were not clean. Service was not up to the mark. The price was too high. Not... More

Got this hotel booking done by my firm because its very close to US consulate. Hotel is in pretty bad stage and they charge you a bomb. Only good thing about the stay was the complementary breakfast provided by the hotel guys. Avoid this place and look for other options near by if you are traveling for US consulate work.... More

I have stayed twice (in Oct 2012 and Sep 2012) in this hotel for two nights each. The booking was done by my firm. After my second visit I got it removed from my firm's travel listings. During my first visit, I was alloted a room in highest floor - where apparently all rooms apart from mine were closed for... More

This hotel is an old time Indian hotel, it is from a time when you did not expect the standard facilities that you see in hotel rooms today (no bottled water, no geyser, an old noisy window AC, and definitely no coffee maker). The room and bathroom show their age, but are well maintained and clean. There was a 1960s... More

I stayed overnight in Hotel Ranjith in June 2012. The downside of the hotel is its rooms, which I felt was small & overpriced. The furnishings were also quite old & worn out. Breakfast is complimentary & consists of a mix of south Indian and continental food, but the options are limited. The staff, however, are very friendly & helpful.... More

Ranjith Hotel is terribly over priced. The rooms have ancient moth eaten carpets with even more ancient air conditioners which hum all night long like heavy machinery. If the Air con does'nt keep you from sleeping, the free roaming cockroaches which continuously emerge from every possible crack in the room certainly will. And just in case that's not enough, there... More
