I spent the new year's eve with a few friends at the General's retreat and it turned out to be one of the best new year's eves . The hotel staff was courteous and extremely helpful. The food was homely but tasty. The rooms are tastefully done up and very comfortable. The hotel staff went out of their way to...

Was touched by the warm hospitality, welcoming and extremely aesthetic ambience. Truly felt like a `home away from home'. If I had the choice, wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Jaipur next. The place has been so well maintained that had it not been for the architecture, art pieces, paintings and the memorabalia, would have thought its been newly built....

There were six of us sharing 3 rooms. We felt very much at home. It reminded me of a bed and breakfast place. Very reasonably prices and they went out of their way to be sure we were comfortable. The food was very good and we had hot water, which was pretty scarce during our trip. I would recommend this...

This is my fifth stay at General's Retreat. And Bist Uncle/Ketaki/Bhupendra make me feel like I am staying with family. Always ready to lend a hand, help you with anything -- the stay here always feels special and comfortable. We spent this new year with them and they organised a super bonfire, and a special dinner for all of us!...

We stayed at the retreat on a recommendation of a family friend. The inn is truly like home and the staff are well trained. The owners make you feel welcome and not for a moment do you feel like you are away from home. The rooms are clean and the food is simple yet amazing. The upkeep and daily maintenance...

This place would have to be in the 60's. The rooms are large as well as the bathrooms, The beds are hard and the poor small air conditioner would be working overtime in this heat of 43%. People where very pleasant , it is in the centre of Jaipur. After our experience in Agra and being very tired we felt...

A large garden and patios further add to a relaxed atmosphere. Our two night stay in a large, clean, well anointed room that accomodated my family was very comfortable. Breakfast as well as room...

We spent 2 nights at the Generals Retreat; it truly is an oasis in the midst of a very busy city! Rooms are quaint - no frills. Good value; Staff were extremely friendly/accommodating; lovey large property with several patios - great for R&R after a busy day of touring! They also have the best pakoras in all of India!

Beyond the gates of the General's Retreat lies a lovely lawn area with chairs and tables where you can relax after a busy day exploring Jaipur. The guest house has a nice dining/lounge area which is good for chilling or socialising with other guests. The food was very nice - breakfast comprised of fruit, toast and omlette along with tea...
