We stayed at Narain Niwas Palace for 2 nights while in Jaipur. It is a very attractive old mansion with large rooms, high ceilings and lovely grounds. We had booked a twin room with an extra bed but that bed had been forgotten and when a folding one was brought, it squeaked so much when anyone on it moved, it...

We had high expectations of this place and we're looking forward to an evening meal, after the hustle of Jaipur. The decor is the only thing I would recommend about this hotel , it is beautiful with hand painted decoration on the walls and candle lit, a fabulous garden with seating and fires, although is some areas this is also...

The hotel has beautiful grounds with roaming peacocks and open grounds. The location is convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in Jaipur. It also felt safe and quiet as the hotel is receded from the main road. The staff was warm and friendly. We had a wonderful night at the bar right next to the hotel as...

This is well maintained heritage property in heart of Jaipur. Every thing is near by. The moment we entered we had a warm welcome by front desk staff especially the chief Manager. They also upgraded my room as it was available. You really feel like a king while staying here as this is a palacial property. One can really move...

We went here for a lunch after reading reviews of peacocks in the garden, we were not lucky enough to spot peacocks but the open garden restaurant was very good, food was great though a little expensive, service was good and overall an unforgettable lunch, so close to nature although right in the middle of the city!

We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful and well maintained property . Staff were very helpful and brilliant in all parts of the hotel, special thanks to the kitchen for preparing off the menu dishes for our 1 year old daughter. Property is as beautiful as in the pictures and facility is well maintained, this is a lovely old heritage...

Beautiful old hotel with great amazing details- needs to update several things.. first- the beds and pillows are hard as rock.. like sleeping in a mausoleum crypt. The AC didn't work- so slept with the fans and Windows open... the dinner on the back lawn was cheesy and touristy and the food was ok. Breakfast was limited and slow service......

The place is full of charme but part of the staff is not good enough, I mean most of it. Food is less than average. The SPA is nice, I had a nice and relaxing massage done by a girl and an Ayurvedic head massage done by a man, just terrible. Keep the guy away from the SPA. The room...

The hotel and it's gardens are stunning, with the a pool to cool off in the mid day heat. The rooms are huge, but the bed was a bit hard and the buffet breakfast was standard. Over all, definitely worth staying here!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
he Narain Niwas Palace Hotel, a Heritage Hotel, provides a good example of history amalgamating with modern times. Centrally located in Jaipur, the Pink City of India, the palace was built in the 19th century by General Amar Singh Ji, the then Thakur of Kanota. Designed in a fanciful version of The Anglo-Indian style popular in the Victorian Era, the palace now serves as a hotel. The Palace has all the modern amenities and a place where one can enjoy traditional Rajput Hospitality. Decorated with Rajput Flourishing, Rajasthani Furnishing and Traditional Jaipur painted wall decor in a typically bold colour palette; Narain Niwas was built in the 1928 by General Amar Singh, Thakur of Kanota, and Commander of the Jaipur State Force. ... more   less
