This was one of the nicer basic budget type hotels I stayed at in India! The room was spacious, clean and peaceful. Location was good and staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was very nice too. There was a puppet show one evening too which was a bit of light entertainment. I would happily... More

Our recent stay at the Hotel Mahal Khandela was okay, just. The room was large and fairly well decorated but cleanliness was a bit of a problem. The bathroom was also poor with the basin cracked and the water dribbling rather than pouring out of the shower. We turned up during Diwali and we had been promised y the owner... More

We got a nice room with balcony, and although facing the street it was quiet during the night. Neat and clean. Friendly staff. Good food in the restaurant. But! No English TV. Shower not working properly. Very basic breakfast. Room not arranged during the day, while we were out.

Our stay here was unpleasant. The food was very nice but unfortunately that was the only redeeming item. The room was not clean, the bed was rock hard, the water pressure was poor and on our second day there was no water at all when we went to have a shower. The power was unreliable and the wifi was extremely... More

A peaceful and fairly central location, we had a lovely clean room with three windows at the front of the hotel, AC, fan, safe, decent shower and fridge. Staff really helpful, free wifi in the room and good food too.

This is a small comfortable heritage property, with rooms based around a central courtyard, we stayed for 2 nights as part of a tour of India. The walls are painted with frescoes and the furtniture fits the heritage theme. There is a small pool although we didnt use it and a laundry service which proved very useful. The breakfast was... The Hotel Mahal Khandela gives the impression it has seen better days, but that is part of its charm. Lovely frescos adorn the walls of this traditional haveli and the furniture most likely belonged to the proprietor's great aunt. Staying here is like stepping back in time. Amongst our group, all of us had very different rooms. In one the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 15 day tour organised by the hotel owner, KV Singh's company, India Heritage and Culture Tours. Very basic accommodation and although old, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and meals very tasty and plentiful. As it was included in our tour, I cannot comment on... More
