Every time I go to Colaba, I go at Sea Shore. Good position, to vist South Mumbai. Great view of the Taj and Gateway of India from the reception window. Nice people, very helpfull and kind. Small but comfortable room, with fan. Shared bathroom, always...More
It’s the tourist central of the city with a liberal dose of rich history, iconic eating and drinking joints and artistic connections that have found prominent mentions in Gregory David Roberts’ Shantaram. Stroll down Colaba Causeway for kitschy street shopping bargains. Take a break at the many
laid-back legendary bars & restaurants like Cafe Mondegar or Leopold Café. The vibrant vibe of Colaba is incomplete without the buzz at Mumbai’s most iconic tourist hub, Gateway of India & The Taj Mahal Hotel on the parallel lane. Sprinkled with designer boutiques, quaint cafes with rooftop sea view, the promenade is a popular route to go to Elephanta Caves & Alibaug.
