I booked the hotel 2 month before arrival and all went well with my booking. Not all rooms are with en suite bathroom, but I specific asked for en suite bathroom when I booked and got as I asked. The room was simpel, spacious and clean. The hotel is on a great location. The staf was extremely friendly and they offered...

Great location, just of a main street in Colaba. The rooms were large, former colonial glory somewhat obscured by many decades lack of TLC. Hot water did not appear to work at 2am, time of sweaty arrival, but was functioning by morning. Great view from window looking at canopy of banyan trees. As on side street, no people, car noise,...

Guidebooks describe Bentley's as charming - that's a stretch, but it's a good value for the money. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. Private bathrooms are available but they aren't connected to your room. And there is no divide between the toilets and the shower. I found that to be common in India but in retrospect,...

Mumbai is expensive, we stayed in the cheaper anex, bit it was still a bit too pricey for what we got. Excellent location though, just by Colaba road/street, but it was still quit in the night. The rooms were clean, big and light with a TV. Nothing special, but still a nice room. The staff are kind but in the...

We went to Mumbai last 5th November, and we stayed three night at Bentley's. We were travelling with our 8-yrs girl and we decided not to have a go at our usual "super budget - cockroach-friendly" guesthouses but to take a breath in the "upper market". Rooms are very large, quite clean. Warm (not really hot) water was always available...

First of all it is really difficult using this site for budget places as certain people seem to forget this and rate such places against 5star accommodation which makes it harder for travellers to have a perspective. Remembering that Mumbai is VERY expensive compared to India you have to realise that unless you fork out money you have to make...

I have stayed at Bentley's every year for the past twenty years and feel like part of the (Edwardian) furniture. Sometimes I mooch around Colaba and see what else is on offer, but have never, ever found anywhere comparable in terms of cost (excellent value for the area), cleanliness (some real dives, same cost, are really dirty) and quiet location....

Bentley's is a pleasant and clean place in an upmarket area of Colaba, Mumbai. We stayed there just for a day but we enjoyed our stay. The complementary breakfast is meagre but nevertheless a good start to the day. We were in the heart of the city and found it convenient to visit the tourist spots around the area. Gateway...
