Great attention to detail from all staff. From arrival to room service to dining staff. Great breakfast at the Shamiana each morning. I had the half boarding lunch plan so alternated between Masala Kraft and Shamiana. Shamiana was crowded on weekends but tables were available on other days.
We are leisure travelers who literally came to Mumbai only to stay at this iconic hotel..we had the most awesome time ever! As I state in all my revies - we are luxury travelers who've stayed in almost all of Tajs, Oberois and Leelas so yes we're fully aware of the luxury hotels and what they have to offer! We were staying at the iconic Palace Wing of the hotel in the Grand View Room facing the Gateway of India. It was a brilliant stay right from the view, to the room, to the pool, to the restaurants - everything was enjoyable! Even our little issues here and there - were sorted so promptly by Mr Praveen from housekeeping and also personal attention was given by Mr Chandrakant - the floor manager. Our most outrageous request too was gladly fulfilled by Mr Chandrakant. Really made us feel like royals! Absolutely worth visiting. The palace wing has a separate place for having breakfast too with crazy views of Gateway of India. Highly recommend this iconic hotel!…
From the moment we entered the grand premises of the reception area to the check-in process - the "tulsi mala" welcome and the complimentary upgrade on request for my wife's birthday, it was super smooth. The room at Taj Mahal Palace was amazing with antique interiors & modern amenities. Breakfast at the Sea Lounge is definitely recommended - great buffet spread & live counter options. All in all a perfect staycation if you're looking for one in Mumbai. Cheers.

It was a pleasure staying at this intresting place, which is 5 minutes walking from the Indian Gate and Mimbuai old places . Taj Mahal Palace and tower both ate nice hotel with excellent food and service specıally Palace with it's specific architectural. Breakfast is good and you can choose: Indian, continental, etc. Also the restaurants/ bars are very good and reasonably priced. I will definitely stay there again.
It’s grand, extremely well maintained with a beautiful view of the gateway of India and Arabian sea. Food is great, service could be a notch faster. Overall the experience is fabulous. The decor is rich and has a royal touch.
Outstanding staff with the most luxurious feels. We had come to stay at the Taj Mahal Palace for a getaway and where she’ll shocked by the amazing courtesy offered by the staff right from the beginning. Front Desk staff like Kingston & Taha ensured that there were no stone unturned to ensure we have a comfortable stay experience. At the lounge we had great hospitality offered by a lady & a gentleman whose name I can’t recollect but they made impeccably good cocktails for us with customised snacks to cater our needs. Next day was even more amazing and added cherry to the cake. Sea lounge staff like Vishwajit & Kiran helped us with quick breakfast and provided us with our preferred sea view table. Staff likes these should be treasured and ensured they are retained cause they go out of their way to ensure a guests delight. Extremely humbled with the hospitality and would for sure be back to experience it again.…
Amazing Customer Service, will definitely plan to come back from Canada for another trip. Staying with a 11-month old is never easy - but the staff & service right from the cot arrangement to the goodies pack, to the pool/lifeguard helping us with the inflatables - top class!! Overall - Tajness experienced from check-in to check-out. 100% recommended.
I am an Independent Travel Agent and had two short visits to the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai at the beginning and end of a 3 week holiday travelling in Asia August to September this year. Everything is impeccable from being collected from the airport by a hotel car, to arrival at the hotel, and then being shown to my room. The standard of hygiene is also impeccable throughout the hotel and all the restaurants. I recommend to any solo female travellers booking a guide through the hotel which includes a hotel car. The guide I had was excellent, and I booked him when I returned as well. The food also was fantastic and there is such a variety of restaurants. I particularly liked the pool side restaurant and the Sea Lounge restaurant and highly recommend high tea. I had the Maharja High tea and did not need dinner, it was lovely with a window seat looking out to the gate of India. I would also recommend the Indian wines that are served. On my first visit I booked a club room with access to the club lounge which has included in the price afternoon tea in the club lounge and then later cocktails. I cannot praise the staff enough at all levels they could not do enough for me.…
