The perfect place to stay to get away from it all. A relaxing and spacious B and B with lovely rooms, crisp white sheets and excellent breakfasts. A family business where you do feel welcome. Really helped us cope with Delhi- a great city but also exhausting.

Definitely recommend this if you're looking to stay in Delhi somewhere away from all the crowds! There are only 3 rooms here so it's a very cosy place to stay, and so peaceful. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the lovely roof terrace - the food was absolutely incredible! If you stay I really recommend the dinner - we were...

After a long flight from UK...we (2 couples) arrived at this hotel , and were ushered up to 3rd floor.....we were a little shocked at the arrangement of rooms...we thought some aspects were a little jaded..maybe a little soiled ie well used books in the lounge.. A grimy tv control .....grubby corners... It was a long flight !!!.....we settled in...

What a wonderful place! We stayed at the Colonel's Retreat on the first part of our India holiday a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is bright, light, clean and has air conditioning in all rooms. We were given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home here. We travelled with my 17 month old boy and they...

We stayed at the Colonel's Retreat on our recent holiday, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay! The rooms were comfy and spacious, and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The food was especially good; you've never had banana bread as good as this before! Definitely worth a stay!

Compared to Jaipur and Agra, New Delhi hotels are expensive. It's the capitol, after all. The Colonel’s Retreat is basically a multi-storey apartment building with 1 apt on each floor and a security guard at the front gate. Each apt has 3 bedrooms, a living room, dining room and kitchen (not for use by guests). The doors to the apts...

After a long flight this was the perfect location, set in the defence colony with its leafy roads and impressive hidden houses, we were greeted, offered tea and asked if we wanted dinner that night, the room was spacious and clean with a fan and AC . The breakfast was also brilliant, set on the roof top we had a...

Excellent 2 night stay at the Colonel's Retreat. Our room was comfortable providing all the facilities required for a short break. Breakfast was excellent with home made breads, preserves (which included an excellent gooseberry jam) and the famous banana bread. We had dinner on the rooftop terrace which was atmospheric with lights and candles, the service and the hosts Arun...

We stayed here for our first two nights for our holiday travelling the golden triangle. More of a home stay than a hotel, the food was fantastic, the colonel and his wife were very friendly. Eating on the roof terrace was great, the Indian scrabbled eggs for breakfast are lovely together with homemade bread. Dont miss out on the home...
