This was my first stay on my first trip to India. I had a place to collect my thoughts and to experience friendly Indian hospitality. The highlight was a cooking lesson on the rooftop after my first whirlwind guided tour of new Delhi - and...More

OMG, what can i say except a huge thank you for your wonderful words. Every effort we put in is worthile when we receive a review like this. THANK YOU.
This hotel has lovely, comfortable rooms, but the best feature is that each floor has it's own living space with couches and comfortable chairs. The restaurant is on the rooftop and the service is wonderful. It was a treat to stay here.
I have stayed here on several occasions and now it is like "coming home"! The rooms are spacious and comfortable as is the bathroom, which is perfectly western. The staff are so welcoming! The breakfast is delicious and I love that they can prepare a...More

I would suggest asking them to send a car for you. It will be more expensive than a taxi because it's a " double run" but it won't be a wallet buster cost. The reason is because New Delhi traffic and the sheer size of the place. You can't assume that the taxi driver from the airport will be able to find the Colonels retreat. I took a local taxi during my stay, it was a 15-20 ride, but it took 45 minutes because the taxi driver, a very nice man, from Amritsar not Delhi ! didnt know his way around LOL the taxi drivers often rely on you knowing where you are going .
The Colonels Retreat is fantastic , just let them take care of you,
