I can't believe how incredibly nice Dave and Suzanne are--and Dave offers a generous pour at the bar. Thanks! They were the icing on the cake of an already fantastic hideaway. The food was delicious and fresh--often fish caught by Jose, who is an impressive fisherman and snorkeling guide. The cabins have just the right amount of amenities because who...

We just returned from a family vacation at Casa Cayuco. It was definitely one of my family’s favorite vacations. It offers the perfect combination of fun family activities and relaxation on the gorgeous dock. Some of our favorite activities were: snorkeling, where we saw the most amazing coral gardens and starfish, going to Dolphin Bay to watch dolphins swim in...

YOUR HOSTS First and foremost, Dave and Suzanne -- Michigan transplants -- work SO hard to ensure that all of their guests have a great time. They make it look easy, even though they are clearly putting in a lot of hours and effort. I guess they love what they are doing, which is easy to understand. It's got to...

I was at Casa Cayuco for a 7 day yoga retreat (some of my retreat-mates wrote reviews below as well). I bunked with some girlfriends on the cabin closest to the beach. The experience was surreal/magical/unbelievable. You hear animals all hours of the day, especially in the "silence" of the night in duet with the sounds of the ocean. The...

I made my Trip Advisor account to write this review. A thing which, despite many travels, I have not been compelled to do until now. I was the coordinator of a yoga retreat in September 2015. Casa Cayuco was extremely accommodating in every request we had of them. “More yoga mats? Sure.” “Move furniture for our group to practice every...

I recently attended a yoga retreat at Casa Cayuco and was blown away. Dumbstruck. Speechless. Flabbergasted at a stretch. As "listicles" are popular with young people, let me proceed as so: 1. I want to start with a little exercise. Think of every tropical island you've seen attractive people romp around on in a movie. An ad on public transport...

This place is exactly what the other reviews say... beautiful, romantic, quiet, awesome, relaxing, fun, and invigorating. Dave and Suzanne (and little Mina) are gracious hosts and run a top notch resort. This place is so relaxing and at the same time you have tons of things to do if you want. Like another reviewer also said... JUST GO, YOU'LL...

My wife and I recently stayed at Casa Cayuca and LOVED it! Dave and Suzanne were so gracious (Dave has a great sense of humor), the food was delicious (thanks Suzanne!), and the rooms were beautiful. We took two snorkel excursions and enjoyed a very personalized experience thanks to Dave and Jose.

We stayed at Casa Cayuco in an unusually non-rainy July which was perfect. I can’t say enough about the stay here. My family of 3 spent 5 days in the cabana next to the water. We spent the days swimming in perfectly clear water, kayaking, dining on the dock, and sleeping to the crash of waves. Top reasons why to...

Casa Cayuco was an amazing experience for our 16 students and 4 chaperones. We spent three days working on a service project with the Ngobe village. It was wonderful working side by side with them and truly getting a feel for their culture. Our day excursions were amazing, seeing dolphins jumping beside our boat was a first for most of...
