We checked in to the most expensive room to find dirty sheets and pillows. We told the owner's son, Carl. His response: "if you don't like it there are plenty of other places in town to stay". So, if you are happy waiting until 8AM to get a first cup of coffee, don't mind worms dropping out of the ceiling...

We spent 10 days in Bahia del Sol in Bocas and this was one of our best holidays! The room is big with a view to the Saigon Bay. Lee and Jack - the hosts are kind and very helpful with organizing different activities so if you are not sure what to do - just ask them! Jack's breakfasts -...

We stayed there 4 nights. Room was cosy, very clean, a bit dark. Views over the bay and sunsets were amazing!! Were helpful hosts, great breakfasts. Met great people there. A bit annoying were noises and smell very early in the morning, when hosts started preparing breakfast (our room was located above the kitchen) and we didn't get good sleep...

I appreciate that Bahia del Sol includes the stark notice for potential guests on its website. This is fitting. It's an interesting and good place to stay if you know what you are getting yourself into. The property is right on the water on Saigon Bay, with a lovely open view in the "front yard." Inside it is very dark...

Beautiful sunsets, comfortable cabanas, but had to fish my 24 year old out of the bay after a rotted plank broke under her foot. Only a matter of time before someone's vacation begins, or ends, in ER.

My husband and I stayed at Bahia Del Sol for 2 nights on an anniversary trip and loved every second of it. We chose this place based on other reviews describing the local culture, the helpfulness of the owners, and the house's location just outside downtown. We were not disappointed! The home and master bedroom were beautiful, warm and inviting....

I stayed in Bahia Del Sol for 19 days in October 2016. It is situated a little bit away from the main town on the water with a great view over the mainland. If you walk to town it is about 15 mins or there are taxis for under $1 to get there which you just hail on the street....

Beautiful house on the water located in the working class neighborhood. Caring owners make stay pleasant and wary free due to advice's about area attractions and restaurants. The only advice I would not take is the recommended tour operator, who was just average. Kayaks available were great got the calm bay the hotel faces.

Bahia del sol is probably the most beautiful place to stay in bocas del torro. It is owned by an American couple and breakfast is included. Tops are the rooms. Every place to sleep is wonderfully situated at the ocean and is directed at the sundown. Jack and Lee can book you restaurants, cabs and diving or boat trips. They...

This place is run by a cute couple from Ohio. Jack and his wife. They have a cute dog and a cat and feed the scraps of food from breakfast to the fish that swim around the bay because its truly organic. They help you with activities through out the island and make the best breakfasts! The rooms are cute...
