We loved this hotel. We shared the 4th floor penthouse, which was really a beautiful, and beautifully appointed, apartment. The hotel is spotless and everything is well maintained. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
My family and I was supposed to stay here, but the snow storm Grayson caused us to cancel. The hotel staff, especially Melissa was very helpful. The process from booking and helping me with questions I had were answered promptly. We will gladly try to...More
Spent 6 nights here with a couple of friends, and enjoyed the large suite-types rooms and of course.. the view. We had lovely afternoons watching sunset from the balcony, and the ferry-loading activities ...
We liked some English-speaking TV and thought the WiFi was fine....More
This hotel is really nice! We got a higher room (highly recommended) and ended up with an almost 180 degree view of ocean. The service was a little brusque and don't plan on the wifi working well. But the view alone should keep you occupied...More
We so wanted to give this hotel 5 stars after they rescued us from a horrible experience at Bocas Condos. The positives of Palma Royale are the cleanliness, the rooms are spacious and decor is attractive, there is in-room coffee including a grinder. They offer...More

Bocas if pretty quiet. You can, however, walk across the street from the PR and there are water taxis and for a very nominal fee will take you to some great beaches. In the same location there are also tour companies. Also, the wonderful Front Desk personnel can assist you with all of this.
The room we had on the 3rd floor had a bdrm. with a double (as I recall) bed and there was another bed in the living room. It was perfect for two females.
You will need to fly to Panama City into the International Airport. You'll then need to get a cab to cross town (an hour or so, depending on time of day) to the domestic airport for the hour flight to Bocas.
We landed at 8:00a at the International airport and had a tour guide meet us. He was fabulous and showed us Panama (canal, Old Panama and other sights),and then took us to the domestic airport for our 4:00p flight to Bocas. It was a fun day!
We also spent the last night at an airport hotel in Panama City for our early-morning flight the next morning.
I hope you enjoy Bocas as much as we did!

Thank you for your answers Larry and April! No, we are located in Town on the Main Street within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. We are across the Street fromthe Sea, so you will get a sea view in most of our rooms. We recommend several nice beaches to visit during the day. Red Frog is about a 7 minute boat taxi and Bocas del Drago is about a 30 minute drive by land. They are 2 of the best options for swimming beaches.
