The virw point is inasanely beautiful, the owners and people are very sweet, there are squarrels are all around, the coconuts are fresh and yummy on the trees A must see villa! Super chill For friends family and couples
We spent 8 days at this beautiful place. From the mud bungalow you have a breathless sight to the sea and the food is excellent. the hosts rosie an ruwan are very friendly and helpful. it's a calm, small and cosy place to "rest & relax". just next door are also some excellent places to eat and within short walking distance you can find georgeos beaches. thanks for the great time we spent at your place. see you soon !
What a lovely place. Clean and comfortable with the most gorgeous view of the sea and Palm trees and a truly beautifully kept garden. We enjoyed sitting out on one of the many seating areas in the garden with views to die for. Nearby is Break Point restaurant and it's a short walk to Silent Beach where you can laze in a hammock or on comfortable seats at the Little restaurant on the beach. Highly recommend this place
My partner and I were in Sri Lanka for three weeks, we decided to travel the first two and head to Tangalle for the final week to Rest and Relax because it sounded like the prefect end to our holiday. Rose was an ideal host with a passion for Sri Lanka and had plenty of help and advice about the surrounding area where to eat and what to see. R & R is located right on the sea and has snorkelling opportunities off the rocks leading into the sea and can also be a wonderful place to relax and watch sunset before dinner at one of the superb local, family run restaurants. Breakfasts are really nice. Also worth noting that not many mosquitos, we didn't see any in our room the entire two weeks. We would recommend for peaceful getaway in Sri Lanka every time.
We (me and my boyfriend) stayed at Rest & Relax during the winter holiday 2015-2016. First we stayed 3 nights, then we left to go to Mirissa, which we just found super touristic and we didn't like it at all so we called Rosie at R&R and asked if she still had our room available and luckily she did. So we went back and in total we stayed at R&R for about 6 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. It's a small place that has two cabanas. We chose the smaller one as we liked the terrace and the view it had. However it's not complete privacy sitting on the toilet so if you are two people, one might wanna go outside on the terrace during the others toilet-business.. We didn't find it as a problem though. Rosie and Ruwan are very nice and welcoming. Breakfast is just what you can expect, eggs, sandwhiches, a lot of fresh fruit etc and you can probably order anything special if you would like. There's no air conditioning but there is a fan and we slept with the door open so that we could hear the waves and also get the breeze inside the room. The location is perfect. It is quiet, located in a smaller local neigbourhood with very friendly people, close to the best beach in Tangalle (if you want a paradise beach where you're almost alone and can lay down under the palmtrees), and also close to great restaurants (Break Point and Moon River, two of the most popular ones in Tangalle here on Tripadvisor). You can easily take a tuk tuk/taxi into the main city centre in 5 minutes for a small amount if you would like. It's a simple place but with the nice hospitality, the small size of only two cabanas, the location, the lovely breakfast, the terrace view etc, makes any eventual doubts worth it to stay there. We highly recommend the place to others. //Sofia and Erik…
