Total gem of a guesthouse. Beautiful setting, great staff, delightful food. We stayed here for six days and barely left the complex it was so relaxing. We loved it so much, we even got engaged on the beach nearby! Awesome.

I can't imagine finding more friendly staff than those at Coco Tangalla. They made us feel at home throughout our stay. There are a variety of comfortable rooms. A lovely pool is a great place to refresh as even though it's right on the beach, this stretch can be very wild and dangerous to swim in. Some lovely sitting areas...

We had the best room, at the front of the hotel, over looking the sea, with our own veranda, making it a lovely place to relax for 3 days after lots of sight seeing. We even had our own coconut palm tree growing up through our bathroom. The staff were delightful and very helpful, the food was good, but I...

We ended our round trip in Sri Lanka and it was an absolute paradise! The rooms are beautiful decorated, cleaned twice a day. The food is AMAZING, much better then most restaurants in Europe. The beach is fantastic, with lots of birds, even peacocks. The pool is wonderful, we have zero complains , so please don't believe the negative reviews....

We experienced an overwhelming sense of disappointment on arrival at coco tangalla located within the interesting town of tangalle on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. 'Each of the six spacious rooms is individually designed and elegantly decorated by combining period-style furniture with brightly coloured silks and Sri Lankan fabrics. Facilities include a swimming pool and meals are usually served...

We take each individual review very seriously, and typically want to be constructive and open-minded should we reply. In this case,it is very clear that additional context and comment are required. The words in your heading "...not the experience we were expecting" says a lot.Obviously your tour operator had booked the wrong hotel for you. This very long review is largely a cut...

Although our room was small the rest of Coco Tangalla was superb. Only 6 rooms with a staff of 7 who make everyone feel very special. I am a bit of a picky eater and do not eat fish or much meat really which the chef picked up on and served me up a wonderful veg lasagne. Breakfast is probably...

Here there are staff that cater to your every need. We were offered complementary bottles of beer or wine each night to accompany a gourmet, 5 star three course meal. The rooms are immaculately clean and serviced night and day. The views are spectacular looking over the ocean and the infinity pool is superb. What a great way to end...

We were incredibly impressed the warm and helpful service. The staff seemed to predict our every need with a smile. The decor is clean and cool. The food is fresh and sophisticated with a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner. Tip: Apart from wine at dinner, there is no alcohol on site. Bring a bottle of rum and the staff...

This hotel is just about as good as it gets. We stayed here for 2 nights and cannot fault anything. We had the King Coco room and no one else was staying there at the time, so we had the run of the house and the most attentive, but not obtrusive, service. The food is the best we had in...
