Fantastic location for this hotel set in lovely surroundings, close to the Sigiriya Rock. In terms of friendliness of staff this was the best hotel - every staff member from grounds people to reception and bar staff were friendly and forever smiling. We stayed here for three nights out of an 8 day tour and while t was not the...

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel as part of Bunnik Tour The surroundings were excellent with monkeys playing in the trees of our bungalow. The location is excellent for access to the elephants in the national park, Lion Rock and other old cities. The gardens are great, and very clean. The layout of the village provides each room with...

Stayed one night.Their service is very poor may be for the locals. No shampoo, conditioner , toothbrush or toothpaste was provided. Also there was no creamer to make a cup of milk tea. We had to ask for it. No sterilized water in the flask as they have mentioned in their leaflet. But well maintained beautiful surrounding. Also pool attendant was...

Stayed 2 nights including our silver wedding anniversary. The location is perfect, minutes from Sigiriya Rock and right in the middle of the cultural triangle. The setting and gardens are beautiful and full of interesting wildlife with each cluster of cottages having a surrounding themed garden. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and decorated in keeping with the surroundings. Beds...

Stayed three night as part of Hayes and Jarvis Classic Tour. Bedrooms could do with an upgrade but in some ways this was part of the charm and was more than compensated by the quality of staff, setting and wildlife. Ask the Head Gardener for a tour he has tended the grounds for 35 years and is rightly proud of...

We had a wonderful time at sigiriya village hotel last Nov 2013. rooms are actually Cottage . We stayed in a Deluxe Cottage and it was spacious and well equipped. But lacked the luxurious style. The garden is well maintained. Very close to Sigiriya and there are elephant rides near by. The food was great and the chefs at the...

We spent four nights at this hotel as a base for visiting the major sights of the Cultural Triangle and found it ideal. The rooms are in clusters of small cottages in an expansive garden setting - this is very pleasant, although the rooms furthest from the Reception/Dining area might be rather inconvenient. The decor of our large room was...

I stayed here for one night in July 2014. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. In fact, I was told by my driver that the road that leads to it is shut when it's dark due to elephants roaming the road. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and the reception/bar/restaurant is nicely designed. The rooms are a good...

Really attractive complex, given relatively low cost. Buffet meals of generally (given that they were buffets) high quality. Plenty of Sri Lankan food-pretty well (ie not boringly touristy) spiced. Chinese and western dishes well prepared and tasty. Attractive pool area and parkland surrounding prettily decorated chalets. Shower pressure very low, but that a minor criticism of an enjoyable venue.
