This hotel remains exactly the same over a long period of time and nothing has changed since our last visit about 10 years ago. Booked it as a transit on our way to pasikudah and what we witnessed was not worth the money you pay. Rooms are clean but damp and no renovations have been done for a long while....

The place is really vast but the location of the rooms makes you feel that it is a smaller hotel. the rooms are comfortable and very well equiped. The staff is nice. If you want to have a quiet diner, try to avoid going there at the beginning of the buffet. The food "à la carte" is good and you...

Nice Rustic hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms need better lighting quite dark . Beware of the step as you enter the room can miss it and trip and fall. Rooms spacious and bathrooms nice and clean.

Two night stop whilst climbing Sigiriya. Must say that we saw more wildlife in the hotel grounds than in Yala national park! - a water monitor and turtles in the main pond, a pond heron catching its breakfast and many, many birds. Two of our party swear thy tripped over tortoises going back to their rooms at night. The rooms...

Our trip was as part of a group tour staying in several hotels. This was probably our least favourite. The set out meant long walks to the rooms which were not clearly signposted. The rooms were quite dark and looked in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms were clean enough and the beds were comfortable. Our room was quiet but other...

We were on a group tour of Sri Lanka and while our first hotel was excellent, this hotel...the Sigiriya Village Hotel was not. The pathways around the resort were dimly lit and the cottage style rooms not easy to find. I would call this accommodation basic, even though it claims to be three star plus. The lighting inside our room...

Great hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Great bar area. Food at breakfast and dinner was very good with a good variety of Sri Lankan and western food. Service is very good and the grounds are lovely. Good free WiFi. Beautifully maintained grounds. Great beds and very quiet rooms.

Its a good hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food very tasty. Hotel itself offers much scenic beauties. Historical Sigiriya Rock and many other historical places are easily accessible. We had a peaceful drive along the nearby roads, watching beautiful scenes of semi-wilderness.
