management and staff, very down to earth, warm, hospitable. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very reasonable cost, family run. It is their home as well. Breakfast was amazing, traditional delicacies such as friendly cooked roti, pani pol, fresh pawpaw. This was served in a tree house with panoramic views of Mt Sigiriya....

We arrived there in the afternoon, there is not much space to park inside, but there is not a lot of people anyway, the workers are kind and helpful, the breakfast is very nice, and the rooms are renewed, the bed is awesome. They are actually building a new block, so it's going to be better. The views of the...

This Hotel is highly recommended because of proximity & views of Lion Rock, comfy, simple yet elegant rooms, great breakfast served at any time to suit you in the tree-house and above all the Owner whose name I didn't take down, unfortunately. A previous reviewer complained that the Reception is a desk under the stairs but why is that a...

Whilst not dreadful my experience was not quite so positive as the other reviewers. We were left waiting for about an hour on arrival. "Reception" is a desk under the stairs. There is building work going on at the entrance to the hotel. We paid extra for a view of lion rock but this was obscured by a water tank....

We arrived late in the evening after a long travel and were very very happy to see the big, clean rooms. Beds were good and breakfast amazing! We went up to the lion rock very early, at 6 am - and the hotel were flexible enough to make us the breakfast when we returned. Sigiriya was also a very nice...

We only stayed here for one night but would have happily stayed longer. The family room in the newer block was bright, modern, clean and had the comfiest beds of our whole trip! The hotel has fabulous views of Lion Rock from the rooms, the breakfast hut (with lovely breakfast included) and the fabulous roof terrace. The main reason we...

Lakmini Lodge in Sigiryia is an excellent place to stay. The view from the backyard is incredible, facing directly towards Lion's Rock and a beautiful rice field with plenty of birds to listen to in the morning, while having breakfast (included). The owner is a very nice guy who will go out of his way to help you with anything...

We stayed here for three nights after moving from another hotel in Sigiriya. Lakmini Lodge is set well back from the main road along a small lane, so is much quieter than hotels on the main road. The buildings are relatively modern and the rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel claims to have the best view of the Lion Rock,...

Pay a little extra and get one of the standard rooms. We had one night in the budget room and it was noisy and a few things weren't working properly. Paid extra to upgrade and the new room was really nice. Chandi the owner is really sweet and helped us with everything we needed. Tasty breakfast and a nice roof...

The owner was helpful and kind. He showed us where to go to eat. Arranged for us tuk tuk to see Dambulla. We also visited Kadulla national park with many elephants. His rooms are clean and very modern. Take only those which are in new building. The cheaper ones have behind water sink and the employees work here and make...
