Hidden down small road this resort spread over a large gardened area is a hidden oasis- with 2 pools and large open dinning room and bar area. Buffet dinners are offered every night but have to ask for al a carte menu which is cheaper. Most Staff in dinning are friendly and helpful sometimes over vigilant. Staff at reception not... More

I spent 2 nights at this hotel in earlySeptember 2016and I was pleasantly surprised. My ititial impression was that I was checking into an aircraft hangar instead of a lobby. My fears dissipated when I walked to my bungalow which was furnished with simple timber furniture with polished concrete flooring. The bathroom was a mix of tiled surfaces and concrete walls with... Ideally situated for the cultural triangle and in particular Lions Rock itself. A nice open reception area with good porterage when we stayed. Rooms are either ground or first floor villas spread throughout the grounds. Two reasonable size open air pools, great for an early/late swim with wildlife all around. Rooms are generously sized with ac and fan and are... More

Wonderful oasis is the jungle. Service as always was excellent and the food of a high standard. On one night we did not want curry so had the al a carte menu, which was reasonable price. The lodge was great. We would advise taking a plug in mosquito repellent as well as spray. We got caught one night without it... More

During our trip through Sri Lanka this was our second hotel and I rated is as the best of all that we visited. Spacious rooms with fantastic shower "under the stars" experience (shower has no ceiling, just a mosquito net). The food was good and rich in varieties. They also have two pools. Staff was very correct.

Lovely hotel. Rooms are set out all around the grounds. Lovely big bed and large bathroom. Some are in blocks. We were very near one of the swimming pools which was very welcoming after a day out site seeing. We ate in the restaurant both nights and enjoyed the food. Only drawback was the card machine wasn't working on check... More
