We stayed at beautiful Villa Rosa in November. It's an oasis of calm above the hustle of the city, an absolute pleasure to return to each day. The views over the river and the city are spectacular, one of the best breakfast spots in Sri Lanka in my opinion. Nothing is too much trouble for the charming, unobtrusive staff. Rooms...

We recently stayed 2 nights at Villa Rosa, it was sublime. The room was comfortable large with a wonderful deck over looking the river. Extremely picturesque. The staff very friendly competent and helpful. They obviously enjoy their work. The food was excellent, breakfast and dinners, we were out for lunch. Delicious food authentic and fresh. Highly recommend the property.

We stayed here for 2 nights last month and couldn't have chosen better. The location and the property itself are stunning and the food is authentic and delicious. But it is the service that really makes Villa Rosa stand out. Buddhika and Dilan in particular deserve a mention for making us feel so welcome and relaxed. Can not recommend this...

We stayed at villa Rosa for 2 nights and that was a really great choice. The location is perfect to enjoy Kandy but also remain in the calm. The villa offers a splendid view on the river and is very quiet. Our room was quiet large, and very cosy. We felt like at home. The food and the service was...

Superb location overlooking the river, very comfortable upstairs room. The staff were brilliant, especially the waiter with outstanding knowledge of the bird life. We were cooked some really tasty dinners each night, and breakfast on our room balcony was an added bonus.

This was a great spot to base ourselves for our visit to Kandy - away from the busy town but close enough to get in and out with the significant bonus of spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel is very well run by a knowledgeable and considerate team who went out of their way to make our stay...

Once our driver found the Villa Rosa, we enjoyed two nights here in the hills away from the bustle of Kandy. The view was stunning. The food was delicious and we enjoyed seeing all the preparation beforehand.

We stayed four nights at the start of our recent Sri Lankan holiday and all I can say is do yourself a favour and book into Villa Rosa if you're visiting Kandy. This lovely little boutique hotel is in a quiet location up in the hills above the city and has the most stunning views over the river and beyond....

I hired a driver from Colombo who had never been to this particular so it was very difficult to find being on a one lane street which made it impossible to turn around easily. even after numerous calls to the Villa for directions. we past a driveway with a sign paradise hotel and arrow up so as most people would...

What a vibrant beautiful house. Situated at the top of a steep climb Villa Rosa looks out across the river to Kandy. There's a a lovely little courtyard lawn to enjoy a drink or two.Or perhaps you prefer the library or a DVD? Volkar, the German owner, shows you around the property exclaiming that some guests actually want air-con so...
