Jungle Tide guesthouse provided me with a great room with incredibly comfy beds, spotlessly clean and roomy, as well as being well ventilated with the large french doors, making it a great nights sleep. This made it ideal for the next day to explore the tamed jungle area in their land, go on treks to see some fantastic views and...

It is a long ride to get to jungle tide but the place is your reward. The nature is beautiful and it is extremily quiet. The rooms are comfortable with a exceptional view. I enjoyed the architecture of the house (really high ceiling). Sally and Jerry are extremely friendly. Dont hesitate to ask Sally about birds and the wildlife, you...

I would say that description of the hotel matches the reality in 50%. The hotel is located in a very beautiful place in the middle of jungles with birds, river and breathtaking view. The air is fresh, the breakfast is included in the room price, it is tasty and filling. However there are much more disadvantages. 1) there is no...

We are pleased you liked at least some things about Jungle Tide but from what you say it is clear that you are not interested in the kind of things we offer - a peaceful place in the country away from the crowds of Kandy - and perhaps you should have stayed in one of the bigger hotels in town....

The property consists of 3 guest rooms with a 4th aimed towards back-packers under construction.Rooms are en-suite and open out onto a wooden deck which has chairs to relax in. The rooms are very clean.

Thanks for the very positive review! Only one thing to point out, which is that the veranda is tiled, not wooden decking! Best wishes, Sally andJerry

Away from the bustle of Kandy City, Jungle Tide offers a welcome retreat after hot, dusty and crowded sight seeing. Once there stay a few days to relax and appreciate the beautiful natural environment and Rani's marvellous cooking. All rooms offer equally good facilities and views. It is easy to find you way walking around the tea plantation and Martin...

After many years of travelling in Sri Lanka the Jungle Tide stands out as one of the nicest. A beautiful retreat set in wonderful peaceful setting about 20 minutes drive above Kandy. Although the road is a little bumpy it is well worth the trip. The house is clean with good sized rooms and excellent food in a family atmosphere....

Thank you for this lovely review. We were particlarly pleased that you liked having the use of the large kitchen which we have always seen as an important part of JT, for people to make drinks, snacks and appease their kids! All best wishes Jerry and Sally

The most magical of settings, arriving at Jungle tide was like taking a few steps closer to heaven. Many new lifetime memories have been created over the last two wonderful weeks at Jungletide. In particular sitting on the verandah listening to thunder and watching lightening set the sky on fire. While just under us on the lawn, tiny fireflies captivated...

If you don't mind driving for nearly 50 minutes from Kandy along a narrow and increasingly bumpy 'road' to find a piece of heaven, then Jungle Tide is for you. A delightful bungalow, set in the hills among tea plantations and forest, this a great centre for relaxing, bird watching and walking. When the heat gets too much, just retreat...

We have just returned from two weeks at Jungle Tide. It was perfect both as a location in itself and as a base for exploring The fascinating country that is Sri Lanka. Jungle Tide itself is a well conceived, beautifully built guest house set amongst tea plantations up in hill country, where the climate is comfortable, the scent of spices...

In early January 2015 we were lucky enough to start our holiday here , we had 7 lovely days here, jungle tide is high up in a tea plantation, so it is very tranquil, with amazing views. Walking in the surrounding tea plantations has to be the high Light of the trip, (take a bottle of water with you!) if...
