Beautiful little hotel

Beautiful little hotel nestled in bustling hikkaduwa on an amazing strip of sand. Make sure you go outside of monsoon season if you wish to take a dip in the ocean. Many things to do in the region, Galle not far. The food is exquisite yet inexpensive.

Stay at Riff

I visited Riff Hikkaduwa on the 14th May with my family and friends. We really enjoyed every minute at that hotel and it was a relaxing stay for us despite the current situation. We had a minor dispute with one of the staff and I must tell as soon as we addressed it to the management they immediately looked in to the issue and made sure it was sorted. The general manager Mr Angelo makes sure that he speaks to all his guest and make their stay comfortable friendly environment. The from the staff who made the reservation to the staffs at the dining and kitchen all are very friendly and kind.

There is no place like Riff!

There is no place like Riff in Hikkaduwa. If you’re planing to visit Hikadawa, please stay in Riff hotel, I can give you my word; you will love it. The staff, the rooms, the amenities, the food, every single thing in this place is outstanding and unique! Sunsets there make you feel thankful! Rockshi and the rest of the guys were amazing and always open to give their best! We will come back, because this is a place you want to stay forever! Cheers, Juan & Kathy!

Good quality hotel, excellent service.

Hotel is very nice, service quality is excellent. Food is delicious at both restaurants. Rooftop japaneese restaurant is high quality with decent price. Had best sushi in my life there. Very friendly personel. General manger is lloking after the guestes. Located at the beach.

Great holiday feel

All rooms have a great view of the beach. Very clean. Don’t forget the great tooftop bar. Extreamly obliging staff you’d forgive at times for being a bit slow. Morning beach walks are a must in this relaxing location.

Come to Sri Lanka and DEFINITELY Stay Here

Riff was the final stop for my girlfriend and I on what was a 2 week holiday across Sri Lanka and it couldn’t have ended more perfectly. Everything about this place is flawless, from the beautiful hotel design, entrance, rooms, food. Everything was amazing. We were also celebrating our anniversary we’re informed on arrival that we had been upgraded to the Junior Suite, which was modern, spacious, stylish and had beautiful sea views. The hotel has two restaurants to choose from. True Blue (Rooftop Sushi restaurant) serving the best sushi in Hikkaduwa and the main restaurant downstairs, which serves a brilliant range of food across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Over our stay we had fish tacos, sushi, chicken wraps, traditional Sri Lankan food, seafood, burgers, pizza’s etc and we could not fault any of it. The staff were extremely tentative and always efficient in bringing us food and drinks etc. We also met the owner on the final night who treated us to free shots and was very welcoming. Live music was also played on the rooftop balcony (this was a Friday) which is where you can enjoy your sushi whilst watching some amazing sunsets. Overall we had the best experience at Riff and when returning to Sri Lanka we will have to visit again. Finally, on the current situation in Sri Lanka… Although Sri Lanka is currently facing challenges with their government and economic situation people looking to travel and visit the country should not be concerned about coming here. We’ve had the two most amazing weeks of travelling and anyone looking to do the same should feel comfortable in knowing it’s not only safe but enjoyable to visit.…

Over 70 mins for food

Rooms are excellent, clean and attentive front desk staff. Food on the roof top took over 80 mins to serve. Order placed 9.10pm and at 10:30 pm there is still no food. Better to have food outside the hotel unless you are not hungry and can wait.

Due to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, we were slightly understaffed, which led to this issue. However, we have identified this problem and have taken immediate action to make sure this issue doesn't happen again!

Fantastic holiday!!!

We went to the beautiful riff hotel for 16 days with our 2 children age of 17 and 22. We experienced a fantastic holiday. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are luxurieus, the food amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and management is helpful. The beach/poolguard does his job excellent and among other things told us where it was safe to swim (turtle beach). Breakfast is a la carte and is a great start of the day. We had lunch on the beach and dinner is very tastful, on the rooftop as well as in the main restaurant downstairs. The beach at Hikkaduwa is clean and beautiful and it is a delight to do long walks on it. We had the best holiday thanks to everyone @ Riff Hotel Hikkaduwa!!!

Amazing Food & Best Service

This is actually my 5th stay at The Riff Hikkaduwa and it's one of the best experiences you could ever have at a beach resort. Special thanks to Mr. Gamini Abeywickrama (chairman), who always gives us the best deals and Ms. Rocksi for offering us her fullest support in giving us the best rooms available.. I highly recommend their breakfast spread. My friends and I always look forward to this..
