Fantastic hotel with huge grounds on the shores of Kandalama reservoir. Stayed in a room in a low block quite some distance from the main reception area, but transport in golf buggies is provided. There were a couple of good restaurants and many activities - all extras. In the evening a large grassy area leading down to the lake was...

Amaya lake is situated in a remote spot close to a lake near Dambulla. It's overall beauty, the surrounding area and the signature bar are great. But it's often small things that add up to just an average score in the end. In our case we had to change rooms after the first night - the AC and room climate...

We stayed in the hotel on F/B basis for one night in a deluxe room. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Food doesn't have much variety where we did expect much more from a reputed hotel like this. Can spend hours by the lake in the evening. Enjoyed the surroundings.

Let me start by saying the staff are generally very nice and attentive. The pool is nice and clean and the grounds are gorgeous and very well looked after. However I don't think this place is worth what they charge. They initially tried to give us a room with two single beds moved together. They did give us the king...

Peaceful and lovely position by the lake's edge. Great buffet meals of Sri Lankan cuisine. Large, clean and comfy rooms. Large pool in a great setting. Friendly, helpful staff. Would have liked to stay longer!

excellent comfort hotel, located in the middle of the country, the service attentive, the rooms very appropriate. For us it was the first hotel on our honeymoon, very nice details. The food was fine, but despite being buffet, there was little western food, although you could eat almost everything.

This wonderful hotel is located at the edge of a large lake in its very private grounds. The hotel consists of the main building with the reception, large comfortable bar and a nice dining area. There is also a very well maintained swimming pool in well kept grounds. In addition just slightly away from the main building is the relaxation...
