The guesthouse is located 15 minutes by walk from the centre of Dambulla but you can easily catch a bus to Sigirya or Colombo in front of the guesthouse (no need to go to the bus station). The owner was helping us to do so. He also took us to the temple with his tuk-tuk free of charge which was... More

The road is nearby but this does not mean noisy rooms. It is easy to reach Dambulla centre from this guesthouse and all great sites like Sigirya are easily accessible by bus in front of the house The landlord is so lovely he will help you with any request you would have. A charming place to stay, definitely, if you're... More

I stayed at Takeshi Inn for three nights and it was a great memory for me. Though there werent many things to do in Dambulla, the host provide very good advice for travelers. It was truely feel like home while I was there. The host took us to the jungle and some places which only local people would go with... More

What can I say about this Takeshi Inn? The rooms are basic and the air con was nice. The internet is patchy if it's something that bothers you. The facilities aren't really what I want to write about though. It's the family that runs it. Nihal is someone who still pops into my thoughts because I miss him. He's a... More

Do not have high expectations as its very basic with lot of mosquitos and other insects. No toilet paper and soap until we requested. There's a bar next door which we never get to try as they close at 10pm. Bang for buck though, and a good stopover to visit the cultural sites.

We searched for a cheap one night stay, so we took a cheaper alternative, however you can get a much better room there, too. This room was standard size and cleaned properly right before we moved in. Bathroom clean but not of a high standard. A little noisy because of the road nearby. Location perfect if you want to catch... More

We saw nice pictures when we booked it, but when we went there it was worse than what we thought. Its far from everything, in the middle of the way. Not so clean, sometimes we havent had water, there where workers on the first floor making noise, breakfast was 700 lkr for two, too expensive and there were insects in... More
