Staying at Jamm for three nights was a real highlight of our week in Senegal - the guesthouse itself is beautiful, the rooms very comfortable with everything provided that you could wish for, the breakfast delicious (by far the best that we had in Senegal - and all our breakfasts there were good!) and the location central. However, best of...

We stayed two nights in this beautifully restored house. Yves and his staff took great care of us. The food was excellent! The lady made special effort to adjust to our food preference. Yves was very helpful in finding us a great English-speaking tour guide for the city walk and a day-trip to the Djoudj National Park, which is a...

You pass through n imposing street-side door into an enchanting totally surprising multi-story open air atrium with a marvelous wooden staircase. Jamm is small - four large well-equipped, comfortable rooms. It is welcoming - the owner, Yves Lamour, recently returned from his latest drive from Paris! - conversed w us for drinks (including homemade punch w a punch) before a...

Jamm is a gem. A wonderful place to stay in a perfect location with a warm welcome, aperos, fine dining, and rooms in a beautifully restored building in the heart of the island of Saint-Louis. Really a remarkable experience. Highest possible rating. Unforgettable.

It's all been said before in other reviews, but Jamm is a gem - a tiny 4 room oasis smack in the heart of Saint Louis. Rooms are large, quiet and tastefully decorated, food is scrumptuous, and Yves is the host of hosts. A welcome change to the sterility of a hotel.

The exceptional staff of Jamm and its owner, Yves, offered the best meal, the best sleep and the best conversation during my stay in Sénégal. I can only echo the former reviewers, who have said everything else there is to say. Five stars!

We stayed for four nghts in the utterly lovely Jamm, and wished we had stayed longer. The hotel is beautifully restored, and decorated with Yves Lamour's own collection of art, books and textiles. The pictures can't do justice to the feeling of space and the calm tanquility of the courtyard and veranda. The food is without doubt the best we...

A small friendly and very welcoming hotel. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. All built around a shady, cool courtyard. M. Lamour has lovingly restored this old place with charm and good taste. We enjoyed the results of his excellent kitchen and great conversation around the dinner table preceded by cocktails in the library. A thoroughly good night's sleep was...

It would be hard to imagine a better place to stay in Saint Louis, Senegal. But the owner, Yves Lamour, only has four rooms, so don't delay making your reservation once you know you're going to visit Saint Louis. Yves also has a gourmet cook and unless your stay is an extended one and you really want to explore other...
