This was the worst accommodation we had during our one month visit in the Philippines. Food was not good. Mostly bland and greasy. Don't understand why people were raving about the food on some reviews. Our room was very basic but clean. Our big complaint were the two toilets. They were not regularly cleaned. They smelt bad and looked filthy. Most of the time the floors were wet that at one point I almost slipt. A toilet paper was often missing. The woman in charge would be pouting whenever we asked for toilet paper. When you want to take a shower there is a long queue. You have to pay php 50 pesos and another extra fee for a towel. You have to provide your own soap and shampoo. Why not just give a flat rate whether you take a shower or not. The unfinished pillars (with metals sticking out) on the terrace were an eye sore. The only positive thing was the stunning view of the rice terraces of Bataad and the IfugIao huts on the side. It's a pity, this place has a lot of potential if they did some significant improvement and if they offered their services with a smile.

It's the most inexpensive "hotel" you will ever stay in. Yes, it is basic, however the people are very nice and the views unparalled by other places in Batad, which is VERY small. It's a family run operation and they do a great job of making you feel welcome and comfortable. If you can manage to get yourself all the way to Batad, that is an accomplishment in and of itself. Simon's has been around forever and delivers a basic room with killer views.

We only found out about it when we were already in Banaue. I think it happened when we were getting a massage. They don’t allow you to get a massage in your own room but instead in a separate room. Our family was downstairs waiting for us so we can all have dinner together. Our room was in front of the courtyard. But for our other companions it was situated at the back. We were careful to look the doors biut I think the robbers entered through the 3rd floor windows. Just be careful and keep yout money with you akways even when taking a bath or going to the CR.

We spent one night in this cosy and beautiful situated inn. The rooms are small and simple, but clean and with a great view. For the night you can rent a blanket and a towel. A hot shower is available at 50 pesos, and it is real hot! The hosts are very cheerful and welcoming. The food is freshly prepared in the kitchen, with quite some choice: salads (don't be scared of eating salads here, it is very tasty), pizza's and chicken in all sorts of preperations. Since it is dark at 6 PM, evening starts early. Our guide played the guitar and sang songs with another guide. It created a nice atmosphere where most of the guests started to exchange exoeriences. The breakfast was good, pita bread with fried eggs, pancake and fruits, coffee and tea. Allover we had a great time here, absolutely the best in Batad if you ask me. Thanks mr Simon and his sister for taking care of us!

Simon's Viewpoint Inn is a nice place where you can stay if you're planning to trek to the Batad rice terraces. The view is amazing. At night you can have a couple of drinks and jam with the locals while playing guitar.
