If you ever want to stay in a hotel "where everybody knows your name, and they are always glad you came"; this is it. My daughter and stayed here 3 nights, which is more that people usually stay in the Machu Picchu Town, but we enjoyed every minute and were glad we did. The staff is amazing and from the...

Traveled to Peru with two friends and immediately left Cusco for Aguas Calientes via train. Had booked at Sumaq and was excited to stay. The hotel was exactly what we expected. Prior to our trip they had reached out to confirm any dietary restrictions or special needs. Everything was perfect. Room (basic Sumaq Deluxe) was ready and clean, and the...

We were met at the train station and led downhill to the hotel. Offered a drink on arrival and confirmed details for next day by our Machu Pichu guide. We didn't realise when we booked but our dinner was included which made everything so easy. Lovely chocolates on our bed and great shower. Gift shop had expensive but very unique...

A 5+ hotel across the street from a roaring river and 20 minutes from Machu Picchu. The room huge with sliding doors out onto a veranda where I couldn't even hear my husband speaking to me. The river is spectacular with enormous rocks and water cascading over them. The bathroom was spacious with nice amenities. The short walk into the...

This hotel was more than what I expected in a small city like Aguas Calientes, located in Main street and with a nice river view. The hotel had internet in the room and lobbies, comfortable room nicely decorated nice bathroom and great bedding. The common areas were decorated with large vases and tapestries in Peruvian style. My husband and I...

This is an absolute jewel in a most unexpected place. The hotel, facilities, food and staff are outstanding. The staff manage to be attentive and friendly while seeming totally sincere. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Nice hotel, BUT there is no air conditioner in the rooms. There are no screens on the balcony door, and they don't want you leave the door open because of bugs. Great location to spend multiple days at Machu Picchu.

We stayed here one night - visited MP twice, one afternoon and one morning. First, the hotel porters were very good. They picked up our bags from the train and brought them to us at the station for the return trip. The checkin staff were quick and explained all the services to us. Our room was very noisy. It is...

We had one quick night at Sumaq but loved every moment of it. The staff was incredibly friendly and engaging, we enjoyed our meals and the location was excellent - a quick walk into the center of "town" and easy access to the train station and Machu Picchu bus. Room was spacious, comfortable and really lovely. One suggestion for guests...
