After a 15 min walk around the city - this is the only place one can get a decent cocktail! The place's cocktails and food match the looks Great place! To go to if u feel like being non-back-pack-y!! Recommended from the tapas selection - the pollo in panko and the hamburger!

I am a travel blogger and I recently stayed at El Mapi while visiting Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes. The hotel is very nice, new and clean. It has to be one of the nicer hotels in town. The design is modern and the rooms are comfortable. The location is very good too (although the town is so small, the...

This was a great location in Aguas Calientes. Short walk (about 3 short blocks) to Machu Picchu buses. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our son was ill on our check out day so they were cooperative with letting him stay in the room a few extra hours past check out time. Hotel shop was small but had some nice...

We stayed at El MaPi for one night in January. It is in a good location close to the bus stop for transport to Machu Picchu and to the town centre. Our room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage prior to check in and after checking out. We had...

This place had a great vibe. Very modern and eclectic design. Excellent bar. Nice restaurant and GREAT location! The rooms are small but comfortable. We spent one night and loved being in the heart of the town. The place was very clean and the staff was super helpful. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for an extended stay but for a...

I was not expecting to find such a nice hotel in Auguas Calientes! It isn't the ritz or the sofitel, but for the location, it was fantastic. The rooms are extremely clean and it's kind of a hipster place. The shower was great. They even had bathrobes :) The heater dried my wet socks and shoes super fast!! I enjoyed...

We really loved this hotel. The layout is so unique, with lots of little hallways that jut off an outdoor walkway. And outdoor places to hang out as well as an incredibly interesting lobby. Upon entering the hotel, there is some great art in the lobby and a lot of philosophical and environmental touches. And, we loved having cold water...

Stayed for one night (like most people) in this very clean and modern hotel. Visited the bar for the free welcome drink in the evening and it was busy with locals watching soccer. Location is great for restaurants but so is everywhere since it is such a small town.

Ok luxury hotel which included 3 course dinner & breakfast- food was average western cuisine- staff struggled with English. Room was big (great bed) however no bath or 'extra' touches complimentary. Overall, nice for one night but probably wouldn't book again for value for money.

Most of Agua Calientes looks rough and rundown, but El MaPi was a very nice surprise to be so clean and modern. We stayed here after hiking around Machu Picchu and we have a very pleasant stay. They have a large property to accommodate a lot of travelers. Nice lounge area in the front if you arrive early and complimentary...
