My husband and I have just returned from an extensive tour of Peru and all our hotels were 5* bar one - El Mapi! Which was our favourite hotel from the whole tour? El Mapi! Everything, in our opinion, was superb! The location, the wonderfully helpful staff, the food - our included dinner and breakfast were of excellent standard -... More

We had a great day and night here. The room (406) was modern and very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. Our deal included an evening meal which was excellent. Our room was nice and quiet considering its great location. Would definitely recommend it to others. Even the painters working on some maintenance were singing so they must be pretty... More

+Wi-Fi was free and worked ok -Rooms ok, but noisy corridor sounds and doors. Note to myself: ear plugs +Breakfast was served at 4.30 in the morning, good! But notice that going to the Machu Picchu bus stop 5 am is not early enough... line was 500 metres by then in October low season.... Bus stop is right next corner... More

Very good location for getting to the bus or train station. The hotel provides breakfast and dinner. They made us a boxed breakfast so that we could get in line for the bus to Machu Picchu at 4:30am. I recommend getting in line early if you are taking the bus. The line was a block long when we arrived at... More

This is a charming hotel. There isn't room for a lot of luxury but they have some nice amenities like robes and complementary breakfast. I had trouble with the safe as it was in every language other than English. The shower didn't drain as well, but this is a hotel in the mountains and one of a few in town.... More

Ultra central accommodation in the last pit stop before machu picchu (Aguas Calientes). Very modern/new and very eco centric/friendly. We had dinner there, which was very good quality (although service wasn't great), the bar is nice/cool, rooms are decent and hotel staff very helpful. I would recommend staying at El Mapi, you would certainly enjoy this luxury after a hard... More

Nice modern hotel in the middle of Machupicchu Pueblo. Big clean rooms with a comfortable bed. They also offer a couple of excursions. We did the bird walk which was great. The food at the restaurant was only so-so though and the staff managed mess up our  orders.

They meet you at the railway station and your bag is brought to your room when you arrive at the hotel. Likewise it can be at the station waiting for you when you depart. Thus maximising your time out there. They upgraded us to a suite, so we got lucky, and it was really good. Breakfast is good and the... More
