There was nobody at the station to meet us in spite of multiple emails and calls ahead of time. Both times I had called the person who picked up the phone didn't speak any English. Emails had gone unanswered. We managed to find the hotel after asking a few people and with help from Google maps. The accommodations are really...

It is definitely very simple. The stairs were a bit of a challenge for our sore muscles after hiking the Inca Trail, but it was funny more than anything. One of the girls I was traveling got sick and the hotel was super accommodating! I would definitely recommend the hotel.

I picked out Rupa Wasi Lodge purely based on online reviews and photos, because the location looked so cool. Although we had to pay well ahead of time to secure the room, it was totally worth it. The owner came and met us at the train, provided dinner recommendations and recommendations for getting to Machu Picchu. The rooms were really...

It was a cute cabin with amazing views to the mountains. The bed was comfy and it had no electronic distractions (no TV, no phone) and the restaurant was fantastic. The service was kind and everything was clean.

We were greeted at the train station by a Rupa Wasi staff member and escorted through the beautiful streets of Aguas Callientes and up the narrow street, stairs to this hidden gem. It was like staying in a tree house! the door to the balcony opened up to a fantastic view of a mountain and the room was very comfortable....

We splurged (as much as budget travelers do ;) ) to get the honeymoon suite. It was a gorgeous and relaxing room with beautiful views. The only big complaint we had is that the WiFi in the hotel didn't work very well at all, and it didn't even reach the honeymoon suite at all when it was working. We talked...

This beautiful lodge was a soothing oasis after a brutal day hiking up and down Macchu Picchu. The wood panelled rooms were simply wonderful, with a great view of the nearby mountains. The beds were the most comfortable I have experienced anywhere in Peru, and were just what my aching bones needed to recover. The front office staff was incredibly...

Great view! Awesome tree house lodge! Loved it! We stayed in the two story unit that was perfect for a couple and 2 kids. The bathroom was great as well with a very good shower and hot water throughout. Breakfast was very good - just a bit too slow for a very early morning. That's the only area for improvement....

First of all the pros: *The room was a good size (no view) and the bathroom was clean, neat and stocked with toiletries and towels. We had good hot shower early morning. * We were picked up promptly from the train station. *Decent breakfast. We also got the boxed lunch from the tree house which was good too. Now the cons:...
