While it was twice the price of a hotel in Cusco, it was actually not the cheaper side for hotels available when visiting Machu Picchu. It was one of the farthest from the train station. I was met by someone from the hotel and walked there, but they didn't offer to take my bag! The rooms as large and the...

Dear sle20, We greatly appreciate the time you have taken to provide us a review about your experience. It is important to us to have each guest leave us with a positive impression, we are really sorry we couldn’t be able to accomplish this with you. Unfortunately, the hotel/restaurants/other businesses prices around the Machu Picchu area are higher compared to...

This hotel is a fairly comfortable place for staying in Aguas Calientes. It has its quirks, but no major problems. The room was clean and warm, albeit tiny. The shower was working fine, but the whole bathroom was shaped at such an odd angle that the door would not fully open and you had to stand in the corner of...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the travel community! We are very happy that you had in La Cabaña Hotel an enjoyable experience based on quality of the room and the costumer service! We work very hard to exceed the expectations of our guests and we are glad that the staff delivered on this. About...

Stayed here after hiking the Inca Trail. While not a bad place, thought we could have done better. Rooms were a little smallish and had this weird thing where the windows would open onto other hotel public spaces, not the outdoors. And the windows were open. Didn't get a good sense of privacy with that. Expecting to enjoy a hot,...

Dear GracyInVienna, We really appreciate the time you have taken to provide us a review about your experience. Unfortunately, the hotel/restaurants/other businesses prices around the Machu Picchu area are higher compared to other areas in Peru. This is a consequence of the very hard and limited access of all products to the Aguas Calientes town, which are made only by...

Had a very relaxing stay at this hotel. They met us from the train station and carried my bag up the hill to the hotel. Super comfy beds with great linen. Very helpful staff. If you are leaving before sunrise for Machu Picchu they leave you a packed breakfast to take. Very civilised. Recommended

We were expecting a low grade hostel (booked through a tour operator) but perhaps they saw our age (fifties) and upgraded us. So La Cabana was a delightful surprise. We arrived late evening. We were met at the station and walked up the hill to the hotel. Reception pleasant, rooms and beds large, hot water showers, slept well. We arrived...

Stayed here on our trip to Machu Picchu and I chose this hotel due to some of the good reviews. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The only two positive areas was that my family got picked up from the station. After that, it went downhill from there. At check-in, the staff decided to overcharge me for the two rooms I...

We chose this hotel based on positive reviews and also nice photos of the hotel. It was moderately priced without having to go beyond our budget. We quickly received a confirmation from the hotel saying they would greet us at the train station upon our arrival. I confirmed our schedule. Of course nobody was there to greet us and so...

Hotel La Cabana is definitely the place to stay in Aguas Calientes. Stay as long as you can there, they have a wonderful breakfast with all the fresh juices, hot food (early) and all the fruit, teas, nuts and grains you can eat for your upcoming day of hiking. I saw many hostels and hotels in AQ and La Cabana...

We stayed for all of about 9 hours, or less, but what we experienced was great service, nice clean room, and the Jacuzzi Room. Thank god for this feature to sooth our bodies after a few long days of trekking. The bed was great, big and comfortable, though on the top floor, but that was OK. We laughed because it...

The staff is outstanding extremely friendly and helpful. They also spoke well English. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would stay here again. The only minus is no hot water on the sink but plenty on the showers.
