We spend here 2 days with our one year old son. Breakfast is included but basic. The room was nice with plenty warm water to take a proper shower. The things we didn't like was the wifi. It was horrible and always down during our stay. Closing the doors of the rooms took allot of effort. The best way was...

We only stayed in this hotel for 3 hours, as we got back from Machu Picchu quite exhausted (and in need of a shower badly) and we had quite a bit of time to kill before our return train, we decided to check in to this hotel for a shower and a quick nap. All the facilities worked very well,...

If I could rate this with 0 stars I would. I'm not even a piky person at all, but this place is terrible. Even if you are travelling on a budget, go somewhere else. I was in a single room with no windows and a terrible pee smell came from the bathroom. I asked for a change of room and...

If you are looking for a frustrating experience you have come to the right place. Showers were horrible...the staff were downright rude at times...and the only upside was the beds were comfy. As for the rude staff...they would go room to room asking if you were going to have breakfast..the night before. At 1030!! Now it is fully Spanish speaking...

The showers don't work properly. Sometimes the water doesn't warm. Some rooms doesn't have windows and smells not so good because of its. Anyway, it's a good idea if you are looking for a good cost benefit relation.

Sol de Oro is located on the less touristy side of Aguas Calientes and close to the train tracks. At $40 USD for a double, the price is very reasonable considering Aguas Calientes tends to be more expensive than most other locations in the Cusco region. We have actually stayed here on several occasions as we like the price, the...

I really want to like this hostel after hearing it was very close to the train station and that it's centrally located in town, making it easy to get anywhere. While that's all true, I couldn't leave the place fast enough, despite only being there two nights. First, the good: it is centrally located and next to everything in town....

This place was clean, wifi was spotty and breakfast was the standard fare. But boy was it loud. All the rooms circle a central staircase which is right where the family seems to live on the first floor. At all hours there was a kid screaming and adults loudly talking to each other. Even at 4in the morning none of...

My friend and I stayed here together in a private room while visiting Macchu Picchu. It was clean and perfect for us. The folks at the hostel were really sweet too. They knew that we wanted to get up early and head to Macchu Picchu around sunrise, so they got up and made us breakfast super early in the morning...

We stayed at Sol de Oro for one night in between finishing a trek and visiting Machu Picchu the next day. When we arrived the lady at the desk seemed annoyed, like us staying at her hotel was an inconvenience. We arrived with our guide from the trek who asked if she could arrange a packed breakfast in the morning...
