It reminds me a lot of Nepal especially namche bazaar but with trains and cars. The hotel is great room 501 worth doing and very friendly staff who met us at the train station and walked us up to the hotel. Nearby there are Loads of eateries and bars and tons of shops selling Peruvian souvenirs.

We decided to book the Taypikala hotel because of the reviews. It is a very good hotel at the end of the main street in Aguascalientes and next close to the thermal waters. The manager Carlos Canales was very accommodating to our various needs and his assistance was immense. We thank him for that. Food is good, I would say...

great hotel, very pleased, its teh farthest away from the train and bus area but takes only ten minutes to walk to it and the village you walk through is terrific - it was an unexpected surprise how much there was to do and see in the area. Service was excellent and the place was clean, restaurant in hotel was...

I picked this hotel for our two night stay in Aguas Calientes based on the stunning views from the rooms. We were not greeted at the train station but we found our way to the hotel. My boyfriend and I were upgraded to a suite upon arrival and our room was very large and had the beautiful views I was...

Service is excellent, they meet you at the train station and then take your bags up to the hotel (they also do this on the return for you). The Hotel is fairly basic (but large rooms), offers all you would need and is very clean and comfortable. Free Wifi. Breakfast is served early allowing you to get the first bus...

This is a great hotel to stay at if you think you may want to stay in Aguas Calientes as your base camp to Machupicchu. The hotel stafff was very friendly, the food was really good, and the view is pretty great. When the whole town shut down to due to a strike, the hotel staff made sure that their...

My wife an I stayed at Taypikala for a night. The day we arrived the hotel sent someone to pick up our luggage at the train station allowing us to go straight to Machu Picchu. After our day at Machu Picchu we checked into the hotel and retrieved our luggage. Our room was more than what we expected. Super Clean,...

The hotel is a little bit uphill (and according to Google Maps a few streets down). The hotel was nice and clean. The room was spacious and we had a great view. In the morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. The food was okay but the space can have a bit more atmosphere.

This place had great reviews, so booked it. After having fantastic service in rest of Peru, this hotel is a big let down. Very poor service .. they charged me for an extra night when I was checking out a day before. The hotel didn't consider even after Expedia requesting them multiple times. The reception made me wait for an...

Dear Raj, We regret that your stay with us was not satisfactory but we are honest people so it's so unfair your comment. Your reservation was for two nights, and expedia have politics that cancellations or changes made after 72 hours (property’s local time) or no-shows are subject to a hotel fee equal to 100% of the total amount paid...

This hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and city, my husband and I enjoyed sitting by the window having an evening drink. The staff are above and beyond helpful, the woman at the front was kind and helpful and the restaurant staff were accommodating with their menu to suit a vegan meal. Breakfast was pretty basic for Peru, lots...
