We really enjoyed our stay at Omaja. The grounds and pool are very beautiful. Very relaxing. We enjoyed hanging out on our cabana patio and around the pool. The staff were very accommodating and the owners were wonderful. If going to Ometepe make Omaja a...More
First of all, I am shocked to read Helena's review. I realize people have different tastes but we found La Omaja was the highlight of our trip in Nicaragua (Dec 23-27). We organized our transfers through Jamie and found the taxi drivers to be exceptional:...More
Very nice villas, infinity swimming pool with a great view on the Volcano and lake, just one minus is constant power off, but this is for whole island, so bring an extra charger/power accumulator if you want to have your phone charged. Food is ok,...More

We paid $30 for the taxi ride (to and from) Ojo de Agua and paid the entrance fee in cordobas separately when we got there (approx $3 per person). We spent approx 3 hours there swimming , had lunch and our driver was waiting to take us back. On the way back we had also arranged for him to stop at Playa Santo Domingo ...again we spend 2-3 hours at the beach and he was waiting to take us back to the hotel. Very flexible and hotel will go out of their way to help! Most of the activity prices ranged from $30-50 usd.
