Wow, this place is amazing! There are only two rooms they share a bathroom, both are spotless. The common area has fridge for guests use, stocked with water, beer and rum. Each room has a private deck with hammocks as well as the large communal one. Amazing view of the volcano Conception, as well as visiting monkeys and huge flocks...

We stayed at La Via Verde for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived, this felt like the kind of place that we could have easily stayed for 3 months. Everything was wonderful - the location, the hosts, the breakfasts, and the activities we did on this magical island. This is somewhere that you can really stop and reflect on...

There was so much to love and admire about La Via Verde: waking up in the morning to see the symmetrical peak of the volcano over the balcony among the greenery; the remarkable achievement of the organic farm itself grown out of land that had been exhausted which Eileen and Darren brought back to life; the excellent breakfasts, especially the...

I went to La Via Verde on my own. My original draw was what I heard about the beauty of the island. Eileen was with me every step of the way helping me plan my trip. From the moment I arrived she and Darren the hosts were truly amazing in helping me create a life changing experience. The beauty of...

Elegant, clean, gorgeous setting, great people. The inn is designed very well with a lot of attention to detail. It was meticulously clean. There are wonderful views and lush surroundings. The hosts are classy people. I've never had better breakfast anywhere.

Our hosts were terrific, we had delicious breakfasts and thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. While there we had a very exciting kayak trip and saw howler monkeys and caiman crocodiles. We met a delightful couple and truly enjoyed the food in the area, particularly Cafe Campestre. We would love to return with our entire family and stay even longer,...

We arrived here having spent three nights at San Simian which was perfect, so I was reluctant to be equally impressed here. After a day to settle down, i fell in love with the place. There are just two rooms and Eileen is available during the day and then gives you space in the evening. It was a great set...

We stayed at La Via Verde for 5 nights this summer and we could have easily stayed for 5 more. There is so much to do on the island. You also could happily sit around for a few days relaxing on the porch or by the water. I visited with my teenage daughter and niece and we had both rooms...

All the rooms in the main building were already taken, so we stayed in a separate cabin, located 100 meters away. If you are a nature lover, then this place is for you! Eileen is a fantastic host. She was always ready to provide us with all the info we needed (restaurants, activities, etc.) and to even make bookings for...

Sitting on the hammock listening to the wildlife was the most relaxing yet exciting thing I've experienced. Food was great, host was super nice, view was to die for, price was on point, etc etc. Ometepe alone was perfect, but this stay made it that much better.
