Stopped in at Mohammed’s auberge for lunch on my way past by motorbike. What a great place with such friendly staff, not at all pushy like some places. The food was delicious and the auberge looked like heaps of fun with a setup for music, nice rooms. Would have loved to stay but sadly had to keep moving. Next time!
I've visited this auberge during my trip with my motorcycle in November 2016. I used one of the rooms and was very happy. The rooms are very clean with an WC and shower. Mohammed and his friend Omar are very friendly and helpful. With English I had very good conversations and nice evenings. When I stuked in the sand with my motorcycle I needed only one call and Mohammed came out with his 4x4 and helped me. I'm very happy that my way crossed this auberge and I can recommend everybody this auberge.
In case what you are looking for is a very traditional place run by very welcoming local people in the middle of nowhere well, this is with absolutely no doubt exactly what you need. Excellent location, very friendly and helpful owner, cosy clean little rooms and excellent local food. A real oasis with out palms in the middle of the desert. I would recommend it to anybody wish to experience something very traditional. Thank you. Andrea e Marco
If you like to stay in the middle of nowhere for a while, this is the perfect place! Enjoy the desert, the family Ait el Kaid and the people of the village. Very nice surrounding with palms, coloured mountains, dunes and much more to see. The owner could take you to real nomads, big dunes and fossils. They have new basic rooms with and without shower, a campsite and a very good restaurant, whre they play traditional Gnoua-music for you. The Auberge is very well known in the area, a lot of travellers stop here. From Rissani it is 1 hour ride, good tarmach and gravel road. If you don´t have a GPS, ask in Rissani.
