A nice surprise here in Merzouga. A very relaxed atmosphere when we checked in and everyone was so friendly. We were told the rooms were basic and simple and that they were. A great experience staying on the edge of the Erg Chebbi. While playing cards that evening were told to venture out to the porch to watch the Moon...

We stayed here for one night, looking for an experience in a Berber Tent. They have a perfect one just in the backyard wi access to the questhouse showers and toilette. You sleep under the stars and just below the dunes!!! Youssef is a very nice guest, he prepared us very good dinner and perfect breakfast. Nice clean rooms available...

I've booked a two days stay on this hostel. Got the tent, which is a tent made by the Host, who is berber and a really hospitable person. The experience was really amazing. The breakfast served, paid, was quite a meal, as others meals served there. Really really worth any dirham you spend there.

Very nice and simple place, reasonable priced and located in front of the dunes. You can camp there on your own or join a camel trekking into the desert. Try to make friendship with locals, they invite you for a better individual sahara experience, avoid the large tour operators, where you are in a group of 40 tourists and experience...

The owner was very pleasant and extremely friendly, it was very nice to talk to him. He made us one of the...

We arrived quiet late to Auberge Africa, a local helped us to get in contact with Youssuf, the owner as we were kind of lost. It was dark when we arrived and we could barley see anything. We woke up to a fantastic view, the first thing I did when I got up from bed was to look out from...

I stayed here with my girlfriend in January for 4 nights. The owner Youssef picked us up from the bus stop late at night, which was super helpful! Youssef was such a genuine person, and did everything he could to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We had some fantastic chats with him about his country and family etc. The...

My boyfriend and I booked 1 night at Auberge Africa and ended up booking a few more because we were enjoying our time in Merzouga so much. The owner picked us up from the bus as we arrived quite late and from that moment until the end of our stay he always greeted us with a friendly smile and good...

Auberge Africa is a place of tranquilty and peace. You can just wake up and walk into the desert, the breakfast was amazing with a fantastic view. The owner Youssef is a real philosopher, he helped us alot, getting around, always with a sympathic smile on his face. I really recomend a stay in Auberge Africa. Nina, Portugal

Moka came to fetch us, despite the bus being late, and was incredibly warm and welcoming. He arranged food (excellent) despite the late hour. The perfect place to rest our heads at the gateway to the desert.
