BEACH & SEA: Nice, good snorkelling and swimming, sand quality is average, corals are not bad .. although many are dead, fish life is reasonable. RESORT: Chalets are nicely built but extremely badly maintained. Many things are spoilt or damaged or in poor condition. Best chalets are semi-suites facing the beach ... but very pricey at close to RM500/nite. FOOD:...

We stayed at the resort for 3 days. On arrival the staff were miserable and quoted us high peak season price on the room (420 Ringgit). We decided not to stay at first and the staff gave us no help on how to get a taxi to else where. We ended up taking the room at a cut rate of...

Room very basic wall paper peeling off. Air conditioning did work but woke us up every night with the noise. Brilliant location shame about the rooms and facilities. Island is gorgeous picture post card, beach was perfect need to wear shoes on right side whilst on beach snorkelling. After Perhentian Island we went to Mauritius and we had been spoilt...

We had a two room in front of the jungle. It was not so terrible as we thought, but the room was not very good. They were big, the bathroom was little, but not very clean. Linen was never changed except if we left it out of the room or on the floor. Aircon in the room is not adjustable:...

A totally bad experience excluding for the wonderful beach, the best of the island, just in front of it. The same level (i'm talking about price and name) rooms are different, so you can have it big, small, aircon can be fixed without slit, with split. So you can be lucky or not.... I had a room with the aircon...

Staff were extremely rude - customer service simply does not exist in this "resort". The quality of the a la carte and buffet was atrocious however the seafood grill was more tasty, if overpriced. The cheapest room was 275RM - expensive by Malaysian standards and this was not reflected in the quality of the rooms as they are certainly overpriced....

We had a wonderful stay at the Perhentian Island Resort (PIR). The boat trip to the resort took quite long, 'cause we had to drop off many other tourists at different locations. But when we arrived the staff took our luggage and helped us get settled. The staff is very friendly. We had a semi-suite that had a view of...

Don't go here!!!!!! There are much better resorts, like Bubu and Coral Vieuw. It' s overpriced and the staff is arrogant and lazy. The best rooms are the semi suits, but dont excpect more than a 2 star room. The food is disgusting and there is poor service. They closed the bar, so only water and softdrinks. Only the guys...

The hotel room is just ordinary (lack of management and maintainance). We got Room sea view room 112 with a water leakage aircond problem. Already told the management, but no action until we check out. But the beach is teriffic. PIR had their own private beach. We both enjoy the beach so much. The scenery is wonderful (for those who...
