Spent a week here as I was injured backpacking and wanted long enough to recover. A week is too long to spend here under normal circumstances as you're fairly limited in terms if activities for that length of time. All that considered, the price is very manageable. Staff friendly. Amazing location. Rooms are perfect if you're a backpacker, if you...

We booked the water villas for our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our rooms offered unrestricted view of the sea and the hillocks on the island close by. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The island is privately owned and offers activities like snorkeling, kayaking, etc. However fishing was not on offer on our days of...

We were lucky enough to witness a turtle landing on the evening of Sun Aug 21st ,a nice birthday day gift from nature .At 9 PM in the evening, we were alerted at our chalet room by a resort staff who then quietly ushered us and a few other weekend guests onto the beach just beside the resort. Lo and...

No wonder it is called Gem island. It is a gem. I didn't know anything about this island, until being told and being proposed by my gf. So I googled the image of this resort, read the reviews and I can't wait to experience this place by myself. We are taking the full board package for 3 days 2 night....

I always try to be as fair and honest as possible with these reviews as I feel too many people write emotional feedback which is often unfair. This place is a little under maintained to say the least. The rooms are clean however do not believe you will come for a luxurious stay here! This is a small and very...

The location of this hotel is wonderful and you can snorkel from the three small beaches. The rooms overlook the sea and the view is stunning, the sea is clear. We hired Kayaks and went over to nearby Pulau Kapas which has a few restaurants and budget hotels. We saw small sharks from our balcony every morning, bats, and all kinds...

Had been to Kapas 20 years ago, and looked eagerly forward to a visit to very nearbly Pula Gemia. Not disappointed. Tiny island, 3 beaches. One hotel. Aging resort but v. nice. V. Good food tho predictably over priced. Only 7-8 others staying here when we visited. Had beach to ourselves. Nice staff. Not a shiny, new resort, so if...

Immediately upon arrival, spontaneous, smiling faces and along with the welcome-drink plus of course the dire beautiful island made the perfect first impression. The staff turned out really nice and helpful. We are therefore more nights stayed, than initially planned. The food is very good, but 30% extra service charge for room service I've never experienced anywhere. It has, however,...

The water front rooms are nice and relaxing. Comfy beds and great balcony. The resort looks tired and run down and whilst the restaurant has amazing views the food was basic and not that tasty. The snorkelling is better on the rocky side of island where the water is deeper but not a patch on turtle bay on otherside of...

Our trip to Gemia Island. Date: 22.06 – 25.06.2016 We drove to the Marang Jetty from Kuala Lumpur. Starting in KL at ~8:45 we just made it in time for the 13:00 ferry. The next ferry, as far as I know, would have left at 15:00 but it was also not 100% clear to me how fixed these times were,...
