My boyfriend and I spent one night with the Minon family in Bilit. A very confortable stay (great food!) and all together a great experience. We went on two river cruises and one short jungle trek. It's all very professional, and Jumal was able to pick us up at Sepilok and drive us to the ariport the next day (making...

We saw more wildlife than we had even hoped to see, loads of Pygmy elephants on both days, proboscis monkeys, long tail macaques, silver leaf monkeys, hornbills, crocodiles, even an orang-utan, the list goes on...! The homestay itself was really lovely, the family were so friendly and welcoming and made every effort to entertain and accommodate us. Ding, our guide...

We stayed with Masruna and her family in Bilit Village and it was the highlight of our trip! We drove from Kota Kinabalu to Bilit Village and was welcomed by Masruna's husband and nephew (Rusman and Amirul) just outside of the village who led us to their house. We saw orangutans, proboscis monkeys, all sorts of birds, crocodiles, snakes and...

I spent 3 days and two nights with host Mrs. Jubaidah and families at the beginning of May. They provided a warm and friendly environment for all their guests. If you want to truly authentic experience with the original people of the Kinabatangan River and support their community, you want to stay with the Bilit Village Homestay. It is a wonderful community based program supporting 12 families that participate equally. There is no benefit to staying with one family over another as they are all wonderful people and share...

The strategic location of the house facing the River Kinabatangan indeed a beautiful scenery. We see so many wildlife on our river cruise & jungle tracking. The food was so delicious...

We loved our four-day stay in Bilit with Marino and Halimah! We stayed at Bilit Homestay on the recommendation of friends. We had looked through various lodge options and they seemed expensive for what they were. In Bilit you are well located, and see the same things as other lodge goers. We loved the experience with the family. A very different experience to the 4 or 5 star hotel we stayed...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bilit homestay. We had awesome boat trips (loved the hornbills, proboscis and orang-utans, just missed the pygmy elephants), an adventurous night time rainforest walk, and a jungle trek to the lake. Especially loved hanging out with our host family, cooking with them and learning about their lives. Delicious food, beautiful people. We all had...
