Basic to say the very least! We had read previous reviews and were therefore prepared for it to be an average stay however we had to stay as a last resort, because other places were fully booked. The front part of the hostel looks like an abandoned hotel, with a broken children's playground and derelict outhouses. The 'room' wasn't much...

Very basic. Probably better value for money elsewhere but convenient if you're going to the wildlife camp and 2 free transfers a day to the orangutan sanctuary is nice. Food not great and nothing nearby.

Stayed here one night after doing their jungle safari. Took a room - it's a shared bathroom and thin walls so you can hear next door, but both the room and bathroom are spotless, price includes all meals, and the room has air conditioning which is a treat after the jungle safari. It's basic with nothing but a bed. Also...

We stayed for one night before doing the 3D/2N wildlife camp tour (which was fantastic and I have reviewed separately) and were disappointed. The room with a shared bathroom was over 100 ringgit and for that you get a damp, dingy prefab room with just a bed and nothing else. The lino floor is dirty and outdated and the whole...

I stayed here for one night before joining Uncle Tan's 3D/2N jungle camp. The B&B serves as the starting point for the camp, so it was convenient for me, but I wouldn't recommend staying here otherwise. The dorm was quite expensive considering how basic it was, and the bathrooms weren't exactly clean. The food was quite good, but if you...

I would definitely not recommend this hostel! The rooms are ok but very basic with just a bed and no chair, bin, or anything and the bathrooms were very dirty. The staff was pretty bored and unfriendly and they're not very helpfull. The buffet was ok, but if you weren't on time it would be cold and they didn't want...

We arrived here from KK. On the bus just tell the driver to drop you off at batu 14 and the hostel is just 5min walk away. Ignore the "taxi" drivers and walk 5 min and you are at the hostel. We stayed here twice before and after the jungle. We had a big double room, the first time with...

We were the only ones staying at the B&B when we were there in mid-October as it is low season for them, but we didn't mind because it was super quiet and had all of the buffet food to ourselves!! The accomodation is quite basic and could maybe do with a bit of an update, but it is clean and...

We stayed at Uncle Tans for 2 nights. The first night we were 2 in 6 people staying there, the second night it was just us. Uncle Tans looks like it was once busy and thriving but they've let the place go a bit, perhaps due to lack of guests or lack of care (or both). The thatched rood huts...

This review is for the B&B in Sepilok and NOT the wildlife camp, a whole different venture. The place is clean, simple and does the job for a night. Very handy for Orangutangs as shuttle is available. Dorm seems very expensive (RM50). It may include meals but meals are basic, especially breakfast which offered less than my RM20 hostel in...
