We went at the end of the rainy season, and got lucky with the weather, so that meant that I, and my three friends, almost had the whole island to ourselves which was heavenly! Like being shipwrecked... with the benefits of a stunning resort, friendly and happy staff and really yummy food. We had an amazing time snorkelling - we...

This is an amazing place. I can't really understand any reviews that are less than 5 star. The transfers from Tawau airport went like clockwork. Brand new minibus, great boat (twin 250hp) and staff to greet us every step of the way. We stayed in a beach villa and it was huge, spotlessly clean, with an amazing view toward the...

The positive side is definitly the beach, evendough the sand in front of the island and arround the island was not clean (garbage). Snorkeling was nice, and we had the chance to see many turtles. The negatives, and there are many : - Awfull food, I mean really awfull !!! We love all kind of food (sian, european, american ...)...

We chose to visit this resort quite simply because my wife's brother's step-daughter is a diving instructor there but we absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone in search of away from it all relaxation. The resort occupies about a third of a tiny coral island which you can walk round in about 40 minutes (unless the tide...

The water and the island itself are beautiful, as are the villas. Some of the international (definitely not the Malay staff) staff however do not know how to treat guests. We had never dived before. Upon arrival we were offered a free introductory dive to see whether we liked it. We thought this was an opportunity we could not refuse...

I think that Pom Pom island resort is a nice place to be if you want a relaxing get-away or just to spend time with family and friends. Snorkeling in the early morning or late evening as the sun is not so hot, is just the experience of a life time, maybe swim with a few turtles along the way....

Pom Pom island is a wonderful place, and I would recommend it without question to any of my friends. And strangers for that matter. As keen divers, we have spent time at a number of different islands and resorts. This holiday was a return to the Celebes Sea, and we selected Pom Pom based partly on its good reviews and...

I've never been a fan of all-inclusive resorts as they either turned out to be a bit on the snobby side or plain chavish. Pom Pom has however managed to be attentive, but relaxed, elegant but unpretentious. Resort was built in 2009 and only started advertising in 2010. We were there the week after xmas 2010. They picked us up...

Like everyone else we had looked around at all of the other options available in the area and we decided on this resort. We stayed in the water bungalows and although there are expensive it was thoroughly worth it. the island is amazing. After staying here for 5 nights we went went to Mabul for the day (to dive) and...
