"Auberge des cedres,Becharre" was described as an amazing place.unfortunately I was disappointed!!! Nothing to do with a 4stars hotel.overprised for what you get.horrible shower!wifi only available in lobby.it is for spending just one night, don't loose your money for a long vacation!!!
We were really looking forward to our stay at the L'Augerge but it turned out to be way less appealing than expected. It was way overpriced for what you get. The furnishings were outdated and the carpets threadbare and the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower was hot but barely a trickle. Light fittings in the room didn't work. The staff were about as close to indifferent as you could get - perhaps it's that we were foreigners and didn't speak Arabic well however it was really a shock after being so warmly greeted everywhere else in Lebanon. The surroundings are lovely and it was fantastic to be in the snow. The dinner was great however. It is about what i would expect for something about half the price. It wasn't helped by people staying up until 4 am keeping us awake but the hotel isn't responsible for that - except perhaps knowing large parties of people may be raucous and putting them on a different floor?…
A great place to spend the night with your pet as other nearby hotels doesn't allow pets. The only thing is that the middle cabin between the three that I used had the entrance door almost stuck. Had hard time opening & closing. Some maintenance is also needed as the cabin is made of wood. It has a great terrace.
I love this place! The service is really amazing! The food is great and the ambiance is so warm and cosy. You can sit by the chimney and have a glass of wine with a cheese platter! The rooms are quite nice as well. The hotel is not far from the ski slopes as well.
a typical country-side wooden hotel in one of the most beautiful spots in the world (check out the pictures). The staff cannot be more friendly. The food is top notch. The atmosphere is amazing. Make sure to go up to the "Korne El Sawda" peak! And get some wooden souvenirs while visiting the cedars forest. I go there at least once a year.
