In spite of its small size and not a particularly picturesque surrounding, the camp has become one of the highlights of our trip. Most of its charm is undoubtedly due to the unique personality of its manager Mr. Omar, who succeeded in filling the place with very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Upon arrival he greeted us with a glass of...

I was a one-night guest at the Tsavo Buffalo Camp, the accommodation provided by the Off-Road Safari Academy, which is part of the Coral Keys resort in Malindi, Kenya. Upon arrival, our group of five was greeted by a very gracious Omar and his staff. We were given a refreshing glass of mango juice to savor as Omar explained a...

At the end of our three day safari, we eat lunch at Buffalo Camp. On arrival we were greeted by the manager and one of his staff with a cool, damp towel to wash off some of the safari dust. After a refreshing drink we were given a guided tour around the camp and saw some of the cottages. The...

We choose 2 days SAFARI trip recommended at the Coral Key Hotel where we stayed during our beautifull holiday in Kenya. TSAVO BUFFALO CAMP is absolutely gorgeous. Italian ownership is possible to feel everywhere - delicious and tasty food, elegant furnishing, friendly approach especially of dear Mr. Lino. On safari we saw really many wild animals: elephants, zebras, antelopes, lionesses,...

Special hospitality, good food and super location on Galana river shore. We stayed in Jan 8 2013. It is very comfortable to choose this camp when you are staying north of Mombasa (Malindi, Watamu, etc..), because from there is straight "african road" to Tsavo East national park. Only 100 kilometers and almost zero traffic..

Stayed at Tsavo in August 2012, had a great time!!! Nothing better than going on a safari and being right in the thick of it. With the camp right by the river we always saw elephants and other animals whilst we were having lunch or relaxing in the evening. Lino, the manager was really helpful, he always made sure we...

Tsavo Buffalo Camp is located just outside the National Park making it possible to walk freely along the Galana River (with a local guide of course...Samuel) as well as going for night safaris with out disrupting the animals in their protected habitat. The food is excusite and the service really does make you feel valued, pampered and treated even in...

“Although the superior rooms are better equipt and very comfortable, the standard rooms are closer to the river and the wildlife. Remember this is a safari camp, so the rooms are very basic.”

“If you are staying in Buffalo Camp (not the posher River Hill Lodge) then ask for the Buffalo Room...really good views from the veranda. The crocodiles tend to hang out near by so when the spotlight's on you can get up close and personal!”
