The lodge is beautiful and peaceful. My problem is that when we booked, there was no mention of crossing a river. We got there and were surprised. It had rained and the river was flooded. They have NO LIFE JACKETS and the rafts are so small and can only fit 4 people. The experience was scary and horrible to say...

What a wonderful secluded place for a "real switch off break". Staff are very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Food is marvellous, so be prepared to put on a few kilos!! Very very relaxing. comfortable the sort of place you want to go to over and over again

This camp is well worth the trip. After quite a daunting drive to get there, the final part of the journey is exceptional - a river crossing in inflatable dinghies across the greenest waters I have ever seen. We were met on the river banks by all the staff offering cool wet flannels and freshly squeezed juice - typical brilliant...

You have to visit this fantastic lodge, I can't believe this amazing lodge is such a well kept secret in Tsavo East, the enjoyment begins as soon as you step into the little boat that transports you across the river to the most tranquil relaxing place on the sand banks of the Athi river. The staff are amazing, nothing is...

Magical riverbank setting. Cheerful friendly staff, very clean, super food, good service. Fun drive in the evening up to a high-up viewpoint on the world's longest lava flow, the Yatta Plateau, sitting on top of the landrover in the evening breeze and looking down on the Galana river as it snakes through the park. Fresh roses in place for our...

Traveled 160 km. from Mombasa, Kenya. You can see number of lions, cheetas, number of birds which you have never seen. Its a wonderful park. Driver/guide is very good and the services of the camp restaurant etc. very good. You will see all the animals.

Getting there, especially with no possibility of paying the park fees at Mtito Andei Gate for Tsavo East (but only at Mtito Andei gate for Tsavo West) and with the road/railway works on the road, it is pretty complicated. In this season the park was very dry, thus seeing animals during game drives was almost impossible. However the camp organises...

This permanent tented camp was a delight to arrive to (river crossing) and our stay was totally enjoyed. The food was wonderful and the staff so helpful and willing to please. Our tent was comfortable and the outdoor bathroom roomy and airy. We had 4 nights in total which allowed a couple of lazy days around the pool. The Camp...
