Our Desert Campsites: We have two beautiful desert campsites. It is set beneath Jebel Araqqa with great sunset views to the west across a wide sandy valley. In addition to our private tents with both single and double beds and all sleeping equipment, the camp features a kitchen and state-of-the-art bathroom facilities, including sinks, western-style toilet and shower with hot water. Our traditional, long, black Bedouin tent, woven from goat hair, comfortably seats even large groups on its comfortable carpets, cushions and pillows. The tent faces a large rock outcropping under which you may choose to sleep when the weather is nice. Many of our jeep, camel and hiking tours include nights in this camp, during which we also cook generous Bedouin meals.

We did a one day / one night trip with Wild Wadi Rum. We called last minute because of everything changing with the covid situation and they were open which we were so happy about. They were very flexible helping us arrange a trip for the next day. Their hospitality was amazing from the moment that we arrived at their home and all the way through the trip. When we arrived they welcomed us into their home and made tea and some biscuits and we chatted. He also adapted to our food needs last minute upon arrival. We are vegetarian and he was going to prepare chicken and last minute made it all possible with delicious homemade vegetarian lunch, dinner + then breakfast. Wadi Rum is a spectacular place to visit and our guide helped us enjoy the experience to the full. They were so attentive to details that allowed us just to soak it all in; delicious food, cold water! and a good mix of driving, walking and exploring tailored to us personally. Even though the camp was closed still, when we asked if we could do an overnight trip they made it happen. Instead of the traditional Bedouin camps he set up a tent and made us our own camp. We had a mattress, blankets and pillows with a mesh tent that we could see all the stars through. We stopped at a place with a great view of the sunset then once the sun went down he cooked for us and we had good conversation with our host and then slept under the stars. We were sad to leave after such a short visit. Hopefully we can come back and do a longer stay. We will definitely go to Wild Wadi Rum again and highly recommend them.

This is a family run camp presided over by patriarch Eid and his sons. For very reasonable prices, it offers comfortable tents with solar powered lights, superb food in a huge dining tent cooked by Mohandas, a super friendly Sudanese guy who works for the family and great tours of the utterly stunning Wadi Rum desert . The shared bathroom has solar powered hot showers and is very clean. At night Eid and his sons played Bedouin music which was delightful. You will have a totally great experience if you stay here .

What an amazing time. I did a full day tour with Wild Wadi Rum and stayed overnight and it was amazing. I especially loved the hospitality, they are just incredible nice. The tour, camp and food were great as well, but their friendliness was unbeliebable. It was a dream come true experience that I will always remember. Thank you to my tour guide and Salman for this incredible experience.

This is different than what you think of a desert. The huge boulders and rock formations are impressive. The colour is unique. Driving through the desert is like meditation. In fact our Wadi Rum experience started right after we parked our car in front of Ali’s house.. he invited us to his house for tea. We had chance to meet his beautiful and friendly family and learnt about his family history. In the end of the 3 hour driving tour, 4 camels took 2 of us to the village. I’d like to appreciate the moral sentiment of Ali that he didn’t mention anything when we saw 4 camels waiting instead of 2. Ali and his brother arranged 2 camels without knowing that the other one had already arranged. When we realised the situation, we offered to compensate and insisted several times to pay the other two camels; however, he said it was their mistake, they will compensate later with the camel riders and he didn’t accept our offer.
