Arabian Nights has been established in a quiet and serene valley within the Wadi Rum Protected Area. The location has a feeling of relative isolation both day and night and it provides for a very relaxing setting. The camp has been designed with a comfortable layout so that each tent has a unique experience, unaffected by the surrounding camp infrastructure but also offers a communal environment when the camp family gathers for meals, entertainment and socialising. There is a large communal tent which is synonymous with Bedouin culture where individuals can come together to drink tea, eat meals, share stories and interact. In addition there are individual tents with amazing unobstructed views of the surrounding valley. The camp is run and inhabited by Bedouins who are descended from the region for many generations and are born and raised in the surrounding desert. You will have the opportunity to learn from their intimate knowledge of the land and gain exposure to the local culture.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Arabian Nights Camp! Shaker was great at communicating with us and ensured that he was at the pickup point when we arrived. He drove us to his house for tea and to meet his two young sons before we headed out to the camp. Everything was lovely and just as pictured. We stayed in the luxury tent (superior double) and enjoyed the amazing views from four floor-to-ceiling windows! The luxury tent has a private attached bathroom, as well. We enjoyed Zarb for dinner, played some games in the common tent (there are lots of books and games), drank lots of tea, and visited with Moomoo (Shaker's brother) and cousins. We were the only guests that evening (I'm sure due to lower numbers of travelers during this time of Corona) and we were treated like royalty. The bed was extremely comfortable, and it looked brand new. We had a simple, yet filling breakfast and then took a two hour 4x4 tour to see some of the sites in Wadi Rum. We even tried sand boarding! Do yourself a favor and book a night or more with this wonderful family!…

I've visited Arabian Nights camp two times, and both times were amazing. There you'll find the true camping experience, simple yet beautiful. We made a bonfire and stared at the stars all night long, the guys in charge were great to us and very welcoming.

Arabian nights is a great no frills camp for the wadi rum experience. They guys running it are determined to make sure you have the simple things you need for nights out in the desert. Decent food. Reasonable prices. Lifelong memories. Their jeep tours of the area are a fun way to get around the local points of interest. They will try to arrange what you need to facilitate continuing your journey after your stay. And Momoo as a driver to and from the village was one of the most exhilarating and wild experiences you can have. And he will beat you at chess. Repeatedly. I’d return without question. Highly recommend.

We just returned from two incredible nights staying in the new luxury tents at Arabian Nights. I haven’t a thing to complain about - everything was wonderful. Communication from day one was timely and clearly answered my questions. Pick up at the village and subsequent transfer to Aqaba was flawless. Dinner was excellent, breakfast much simpler but still basic and delicious. The bedouin tea became a favorite. The communal tent was warm and inviting and allowed for great conversations with fellow guests and workers. Mumu was a wonderful host! Our all day adventure on day one was too much fun and filled with beautiful sights. Omar, our guide, was the absolute best. He made an incredible cooked lunch - all from scratch ; one we are still talking about! Our 1/2 day adventure was out to an actual Bedouin camp - the real deal - where we enjoyed tea with a family while warming next to the fire watching the rain and snow fall. A great experience. And the rooms were awesome. They far exceeded our expectations as we had no pictures of what they looked like. The bed was the most comfortable of our 14 day stay and we stayed in Marriott’s at all the other stops! The duvet was more than warm enough and the bathroom was spacious and private. The hot water was a bit hit or miss but was certainly fine to rinse the dust off (bring shampoo). The only other thing we would have loved to see were a couple of deck chairs to enjoy the incredible view from the decks these “tents” have. They were spotlessly clean. I really was blown away with it all and even more so considering how remote it is. Our stay with Arabian Nights and tour with Omar was the highlight of our ten day stay in Jordan ( we had two nights on either end in other countries, hence the 14 nights mentioned above). We could easily have spent a few more days chilling and hiking here.…

Thanks for your review. As you were aware you were one of the first guests in the rooms and although deck chairs were not part of our vision we now have comfortable bean bags in each room that you can easily move between the deck and the interior at your comfort. Hope to see you again.
