We went there with a booked Tour but would certainly never go back to this hotel. Everything still seems like french of 50 years ago and never changed, same curtains and sheets and decorations, all outdated and not well kept. Bed was super hard.We had a very big old tv in the room, WiFi was terrible, shower leaking through the whole bathroom so after showering stays wet feet when you need to use toilet or sink. The restaurant was not inviting. Breakfast was ok but coffee very bad.
Stayed here for 1 night as part of a cycling tour group. Odd location as there is nothing outside to do and no accessible restaurants despite it being a large town. Food in hotel was good for me but most of my fellow travelers thought it was poor. Rooms okay and reception seating areas was really nice. Rooftop bar seating area was open and we had a few beers up there.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst travelling around Vietnam. The hotel has big rooms, good WiFi and a good breakfast. The staff were excellent, all very friendly. One particular gentleman on reception was super helpful. He gave us recommendations of restaurants around the area which were very good. Even though the hotel doesn’t have a pool, you can go to the sister hotel ‘Legend’ and use their facilities for a small fee. We utilised this a couple of times and had a really good time at both hotels. We were able to get Grab taxis really easily around the area to Trang An & Mua caves viewpoint independently which is way cheaper than a tour or private taxi. For the money you pay for this hotel, it is very good value.
Stayed recently for four nights and loved it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is limited but you have a fair choice. For the money paid each night this was excellent value! The staff are outstanding and the spoken English is good. They bend over backwards and will do anything to help you. This includes local knowledge, tours and even directions! There is a sister hotel called The Legend, which is a few km away. The hotel paid for transport and there is a fully equipped gym and x2 swimming pools. I actually preferred Thuy Anh. It has a pool table and basic gym, but again does the trick. The location is excellent and honestly book here. I am usually fussy and quick to find fault but there are not many here at all! Well done Thuy Anh team.
A group I was with ate dinner at this hotel restaurant with a set menu and I do not recommend going to the restaurant at this hotel because: - the drinks were trashy, they weren't flavoursome. The tropical punch mocktail tasted too watery. - they ran out of pineapple, and didn't have any for breakfast either. - nearly everything on the menu was spelled wrong. example; "mongo", "tuorism" - the meals were flavorless, dry and trash. - in the tomato and cucumber salad, they threw chunks of raw garlic on top of already bitter cucumber and old tomatoes. - the meat was either dry or old - the chicken didn't have any flavoring at all, it was just served plain - the meat had bits of cartilage and bone on it. - the rice had large splinters in it. - the fish was basically gel, not a solid. - the food was served in a weird order, the rice was originally last on the set menu which we had to ask for to receive earlier. Overall the food was bad and that's why I'm giving it two stars. For the rooms: - good sized rooms, very spacious. - the beds were hard. - as soon as the tv was turned on, it screamed at you in high pitched noise and the picture was really bad. - the rooms weren't consistent - see through doors to the bathroom …
