We stayed here for one night and we thought it was good, this is not a flask place but good for the money. This is not a 5 star hotel so don’t expect a lot but as I said good for what we paid tha staff were friendly and the breakfast was Ok.
We only stayed for one night here, so location was great. Walking distance to the night market, river and lots of restaurants. Room was clean and large. Staff were friendly and breakfast had a good variety.
We stayed for one night and found the hotel, clean, quiet and well located (closed to the night market and restaurant). Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be improved. It might look a bit old fashion but it is comfy and quiet so we would highly recommend it.
This was the dirtiest hotel we stayed at in Vietnam and we spent a month in the country, visiting several places. Location wise is great and could be tolerable for one night, but set your expectations correctly and bring your own sheets or at least repellant. The hotel is outdated and dirty, with questionable bed sheets. My husband woke up in the middle of the night, panicked because a bug entered his ear. I checked the bedsheets after, and some kind of tiny bugs... God knows what, were spread on his pillow. Plus the mosquitoes flying all over the room. We almost drowned ourselves in repellant, gaining the courage to go back to sleep. I complained to Reception in the morning, they smiled, said "oh, mosquitoes!" and that was about it. Try to avoid it!
The hotel is just a five minute walk away from the river and the night market. The room was spacious with desk, sitting area, fridge, AC, TV, free good WiFi and also provided kettle with supplies to make tea/coffee. The bathroom is also large with nice towels, soap, hot water etc. Everything was clean. Breakfast is served on the top floor with nice views over the city. There was a buffet where you could help yourself and it started already at 6 am so you could make it early to the floating market.
Unsure if CrusCiu was writing about the same hotel. I was expecting a dirty dive upon arrival. The opposite was found. Well appointed. Drink upon arrival, Clean. Good value for a 3 star hotel. Would stay again.
Mekong river îs amazing. Is a must see în Vietnam. But îs you choose to stay în Can Tho never select Hau Giang Hotel. Is not a 3 star hotel! Never! Its dirty, smells horrible, its old and uncomfortable! The towels were dirty, the bed sheets unchanged, bathroom uncleaned for ages, bathroom sink broken, etc Not recommened of you want to keep the good memories.
Mot clean, in the room next to us The locals were smoking with the door open and the smell was all over the place, shower covered with mold, very old furnitures, spiders webs on the walls, had to deal with mosquitoes in the room.
Stayed for one night in a twin room. Rooms larger than expected. Bed comfy. Breakfast ok .Only downside was that the bathroom and overall decor was very dated. Not a huge problem for one night depending on how much you paid for room.
It's a basic hotel, old-style furniture but refurbished. rooms are spacious. The refurbished bathroom has floor tiles that are not suitable as they are smooth and slippery - poses a danger for those who are not careful, especially the elderly. Some rooms are facing the street so it could be noisy early in the morning with shopkeepers across the road setting up business.
