This Bambo Eco Village is amazing and I highly recommend it to those who seek a place to relax and enjoy the nature in Can Tho, Viet Nam. We truly found a home away from home during our trip to Can Tho last February. Beside the clean room, the staff was very nice and professional. Breakfast and drinking water were included in the room charge. While I enjoyed wonderful breakfast with the local popular dishes such as pho, banh it tran, seasonal fruit, and fresh OJ, others in my family loved Western style such as bread with sunny-side-up egg and cheese, cereal/yogurt, and coffee. Our bonus for staying there was that we're able to enjoy the fruit freshly picked from trees within the village as well as to ride bicycles along the river. We didn't have enough time to experience riding the gas moped and kayaking, which are free to guests. Also, my family enjoyed the tours purchased at this village to see sunset at the delta and visit the Cai Rang floating market early in the morning. My biggest concern was mosquitos because this place is located along the river, so we packed the mosquito repellant with us. However, the owner lit incense to repel them at each table every time we dined there. In the end, we didn't need to use ours. We had a wonderful 3-day stay at this place while touring Can Tho. Many thanks to the owner of this Bamboo Eco Village for providing such a cozy and lovely place for us to feel like home. We'll definitely be back. …
Wonderful place to stay in Can Tho and this is my second stay here at Bamboo Eco Village. The room and the garden are spectacular with great greenery. What I love the best here is the view in front of the place which is next to river and it’s just so lovely for sunset and sunrise. I highly recommend everyone to stay here.
I try not to leave poor reviews but the owners of this place are clearly not taking the advice of previous reviewers who have tried to be fair. It’s true that the young staff are very friendly but they need training. It’s chaotic. There are not many seats around the pool and the pool itself looked dubious. The rooms are large but but basic. There was no hot water to shower in the morning. The restaurant which we used for breakfast was mayhem. In the end I cleared a table to sit down and we ate a slice of warmed frozen bread which was the best the toaster could mange after a five minute wait. The coffee was undrinkable. Also it is the middle of nowhere so nothing to do or see. We checked out by 10am after an 18 hour stay. It could be lovely if it was managed properly but you can do so much better for the money. …
What a beautiful place in the busy Mekong Delta. The lovely owners and staff really take care of this place. It is a real countryside experience outside the surprisingly 1m++ population big city of Can Tho. Nice rooms, amazing staff, nice garden. Canoe, fishing, bycicle (in good conditions!) rental is included for free, you can also rent motorbikes or get picked up for a Mekong river tour directly at the hotel. Breakfast is great, too. The location takes really care of environmental footprint, besides provided water in glass containers, warm water and energy is produced by solar energy. Thanks for providing such a nice place 🙏.
You will love this place. Kind host and lovely food. The atmosphere is quiet and the gardens are breathtaking. Don't miss a tour of the Mekong Delta floating market. Kayak and bicycles available.
We are the Rotary E-Club of Global travelers and stayed at Bamboo Eco for part of our visit to VietNam. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The Village is beautiful. The Bungalows are beautiful and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for. The grounds and tropical flowers are amazing. We had wonderful group meals to include a cooking class. Getting to this location requires planning but is worth it!!
The Bamboo Eco Village is unquestionably one of the most beautiful and unique places we have visited in our travels in Asia and Europe. The main part of the village consists of approximately 15 or so individual huts built into the natural habitat which is further enhanced by incredible gardens of all manner of flowers. Short bamboo bridges criss cross the waterway which divides the village. Bamboo tables and chairs are tastefully positioned within the gardens. Each hut is as meticulously designed as the gardens with a vaulted ceiling, fine bamboo furnishings, interior brick and bamboo walls, large windows, pocket doors, and a connecting private open air shower and bath. I felt that every detail was carefully considered when constructing the gardens and huts. Everything conducive to leave and tranquility. Finally, the food is simply outstanding.. I was shocked to learn that it was prepared by the owners wife who is an extraordinary chef. Vietnamese use the term homessages to refer to small boutique style sleeping and eating establishments. This had the added benefit of also feeling like a home, albeit one I could never actually afford to live in. Wonderful to have the experience for a night. If for no other reason, a stay in this homestay makes the trip to the delta worthwhile. By the way-- a trip to the delta is definitely worthwhile in its own right!!…
I stayed at the Eco Village for 3 nights and was blown away by the beauty of the grounds, the loveliness of the accomodation and the utter amazingness of the food! The Eco Village provides a welcome, and virtually plastic-free, oasis in the Mekong delta. It is located a few kilometres out of Can Tho and is a good basis for tours to the Cai Rang and other local floating markets. Travelling solo, I met many other guests and had great conversations over the outstanding lunches and dinners and cooking classes the Village provided. Bao and her husband are the most welcoming, friendly and generous hosts imaginable and take great pride in their place, which is utterly warranted, as they have created a little slice of paradise in the delta.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was so good! The hosts are amazing, they take such pride in their place and ensure your experience is as good as can be. We learned how to make some traditional dishes, from pancakes to banana cakes and puddings. Was easy to book tours from there to the floating market and cacao farms and the meals that were included were of a good quality (dinner will definitely fill you up!). They grow a lot of the fruit and vegetables they serve you on site, and as you walk through the resort you'll see the various local fresh food growing in the garden. Its a tranquil setting outside of Can Tho, with the design of both the eco village and the bungalow having great attention to detail. We couldn't recommend this enough to other travellers - anyone staying here will surely have a great time and take home some lifelong memories. We loved Bamboo Eco Village! …
