We were very disappointed with the mouse problems in many of the rooms. One chewed a hole in one of our tote bags and climbed up the fridge to chew a sealed plastic container of chips. Another member of our group had a mouse eat a banana in her room. When we mentioned it the staff admitted it was a known problem. I saw two dogs tip over an open garbage basket and spread it around. Perhaps the open garbage baskets outside of the rooms are part of the problem! Clean up and get rid of the mice!
Excellent place to stay by Can Tho. A little away from the town so quiet and peaceful yet easy transportation to anywhere you'd like to go. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room had a great little balcony overlooking the river. Very helpful and friendly staff. We'd especially like to thank Anh who arranged so much for us. Highly recommended!
I stayed at Hometravel Mekong for 3 nights and was blown away by the beauty of the Homestay, the loveliness of the accommodation and the awesomeness of the food! It is located a few kilometers from Can Tho and makes a good base for tours to Cai Rang and other local floating markets. Traveling alone, I met many other guests and had great conversations about outstanding lunches and dinners. The most friendly and generous staff imaginable and take great pride in their place.
I really loved this place, I got stuck here because of loving it so much. I just kept adding nights. I found the homestay clean and comfortable, along the channels of the Mekong Delta. Is a little bit out of the city, which means a quieter area to enjoy the local life. I really enjoyed the boat tour, for a reasonable price I took the shared tour and was a blast, floating market, noodles factory, and so on. They have a brand new bungalow, where I stayed, and some dorm rooms for budget travelers. There was a nice vibe during dinner with all the travelers meeting up together and having some really good food I will come back and recommend it to anyone!
Altogether one of the best places we stayed in Vietnam. Due to an interesting location a little outside, you feel you’re spending your nights in the middle of the jungle. During the night you hear all sorts of animals. The staff is also super helpful and nice. We booked the Mekong boat tour which was a great experience and not expensive for all the things we got to experience. Definitely would stay there again.
If you are looking for a place that is a little outside of the city of Can Tho to experience the local life and scenery this is the place for you! The service was extremely good and even though we stayed in the dormitory the whole stay felt like a luxury! Good tips were given and the tour of the floating market that they give is an amazing experience and affordable if compared to prices online. The lunch and dinner food is delicious and we did activities like cycling, fishing and relaxing. One hundred percent one of the better places we stayed at throughout this one month trip of ours in Vietnam.
What a wonderful location. As someone who doesn't like the hustle and bustle, I chose a quiet place like this. It gives me unforgettable things, even though it's really hard for me to blend in with everything around. I feel the friendliness and affection from everything here. Just come here and everything will be handled by Hometravel Mekong Can Tho.
I had a great time here, staff at the homestay so friendly, the place so peaceful and quite, we enjoyed floating market trip a lot, our tour guide show us so many things i never know before like the life of local people at floating market or how to make rice paper....we hope we will come back here one day😍😍😍🤗
We really loved our stay in Hometravel Mekong! We spent three nights there and even though it was lunar new year season everything worked out perfectly! Originally we booked accomodation from Dan Sinh Homestay nearby, but because of Tet season we got upgraded to Hometravel Mekong. Staff in both homestays are wonderful! Super friendly and helpful! They also speak very good english. Bungalows were beautiful, wifi worked perfectly and food was really good! We had our own bungalow, but I saw the dorms and they were really clean and beautiful as well! We slept really well with the sounds of nature surrounding us. Really few bugs as well and they have good mosquite nets and offer also mosquite gel for free. We had a couple of boat trips, one to the floating market and one sunset tour. They were really interesting and authentic! You could also borrow bicycles for free and explore the towns nearby by yourself. I honestly think that this is the best way to experience Mekong Delta, and this is definetly one of the best accomindations I have ever been in. Really down to earth and chill. Prices were more than fair and it was great to get everything from food to activities from the same place. Thank you so much! cảm ơn! kiitos! Couple from Finland…
So friendly with most professional staff i can only recommend you to stay here for an unforgettable experience on mekong river you will not regret it mate ,you will be also able to see fireflies and julien beating residents at the pool games
