Mekong Rustic is a hidden gem. Great location at the end of a lovely orchard and close to town and beautiful scenery for bike trips. Excellent breakfast is included and great food can be ordered for lunch and dinner. Upon arrival you will be picked up for a lovely little boat trip to your large and clean room with views of a beautiful garden from your private terrace. But best of all was Long, who went out of his way to make our stay unforgettable, and who took us on a fantastic boat trip to the floating market and a bicycle tour of the lush farming country near the property. His English is impeccable and we learned a lot from him about the region. We highly recommend Mekong Rustic, and tours with Long and his colleagues.
I came here with my friends. We all do like the facilities of the rooms and the privacy here. You can not ask for more from the staff members, they are thoughful and caring. Rooms are well equipped with decorations made from wood. We will definitely come back here. Thank you Long & Tranh.
Absolutely loved the stay in midst of the nature and long (manager of mekong rustic) went above and beyond to ensure we were absolutely comfortable in our short stay at the place. Do book the floating market tour via the resort. We got the best guide and friend to accompany us through the visit. Must visit
We had a great time at Mekong Rustic. The place has new manager and it is very promising. We only stayed for a night but it was a really pleasant experience. All the staff is very attentive. Thanks to all of you ! PS: if you are bold you can try to row by yourself a boat in the canal in the beautiful garden.
We hired a boat from Saigon to Can Tho which was expensive but incredible. We stayed at the Mekong Rustic for a few days. We loved the grounds which included beautiful canals and trees and flowers. Our casita was clean and lovely and the outdoor bathroom was really cool. The pool was gorgeous. We enjoyed every meal that we had at Mekong Rustic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They organized our floating market tour. The small tour boats are the best so that you can get in the middle of the action; we watched the sunrise on the river; went to the pho and coffee boats; took a little journey along a side canal; visited the rice paper factory. Mekong Rustic has bikes and we took two great bike adventures on nearby islands easily accessible by small ferries. Easy to get lost too! …
The bungalows are rustic and cute. Despite seeing the mosquitos everywhere we were fine once under the mosquito netting. Bed was just a thin mattress but we did manage to sleep quite well. Staff here are very friendly and warm. Restaurant is pretty good but the menu is pretty limited. We spent three nights here and could have done with a lot more variety. The overall gardens and landscape in the complex was wonderful! Loved all the flowers, greenery, the rivulet with the bridges over it. The pool was lovely and I am so glad it was there or it would have been a very hot stay with no respite at all! Take a walk through the orchard next door! The highlight of our trip would be the day tours we organized directly through Mekong Rustic. We did the half day cycling tour which is in my top 5 experiences in my whole 3 week Vietnam and Cambodia trip. We took our bicycles from the hotel (which are in pretty good nick) and took a short ferry across one of the many waterways of the area and rode around on narrowly paved walking/cycling paths past peoples homes and schools. It was a real moment of capturing everyday life in the Mekong. We stopped at a local's house and made a banana coconut cake with him and his wife which were delicious. We were lucky enough to have the same tour guide throughout all of our touring, Cody. We is a young university student with an amazing command of English and even Western pop culture and slang. He is an entertaining and humour man that really added to the overall touring experience. We also did the floating markets tour and touring along the way to Chau Doc via Tra Su sanctuary (which I would recommend skipping this attraction).…
This was a truly Vietnamese experience with amazing “rooms” that are really separate bungalows, with thatched roofs, an outdoor bathroom and shower with a pond, and a beautiful front porch. The grounds are impeccable, and the services was wonderful. It is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in throughout the world.
We organized a boat tour and a bike tour in MK Rustic and that was worth it. Both are nice. Bikes were good quality, boat was a little bit noisy but it's okay. Long known how to make the tour even better than catalog describes. Highly recommended!
After almost two months of traveling in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, we have stayed at over 20 locations. This was our favorite! The atmosphere was delightful. The rooms were large with strong WiFi. The bathroom was outdoors but private - really cool. There was a lovely pool. The outdoor eating area was very comfortable. While the food itself was just ok and there was basically just beer and wine to drink, those shortcomings were totally offset by the vibe of the place. It get a bit like Hobbiton with snaking walkways and individual cottages. Anyways, we just loved it.
Yesterday my friends and i went on a rustic tour with Long/Cody and everything was organized for us and was one of the best things I've done in Can Tho, so much fun and so informative, we got to see parts of Can Tho that i didn't even know existed! Highly recommended if you want an authentically vietnamese experience
